A shame that Loma & Rigo wont get more attention

Post by Chepppaaa »

by media, by fans, that they dont get the big lights etc.

these 2 olympic gold boxers are superstars in boxing, not in terms of hype or celebrity status, who cares about that stuff other than floyd, but in terms of real boxing. i know rigo might be boring, but floyd boring for most of his career and yall bought it too, so keep quiet.

but they are not us americans, they dont speak english, their fault, also big trouble is they box in division under ww, prety much 0 division under welterweight makes big millions, i guess with 0 exceptions. imagine loma and rigo with the talent they have at ww or 154, they would beat anybody and become the biggest names in boxing. mr robotic footwork thurman, mr slow slow canelo, the overrated charlo bros, anybody would have no chance against such talent. only maybe spence, he is also a rare talent.

Loma will in time. Rigo won't. Loma is a more complete fighter and is better defensively when you look at how he stays engaged while being defensive. Rigo's style can be tedious and boring to all except the purists. Loma is a treat for everyone to watch.

Rigo's biggest problem he is arguably the most boring boxer on the planet. He's never going to sell.

so was floyd. as far as most boring on the planet, there can only be one wrestler, higger, wladimir, arguably most boring boxer ever

i am talking on boxing quality and in that sense he is 10 out of 10, when ggg or slow canelo are around 8-9

now when it comes down to action, than yeah he is boring.

No, he is not. Loma just understands the business and takes more risks in order to land good shots. When was the last time Rigo stopped a decent fighter ?

Loma's defense is utilized in the pocket where he is set readily to counter. Rigo's defense is excellent, but more of an "on his bicycle" style. Loma's is much more artful and skillful.

For a guy who's never beaten an opponent that was divisional top 5 at the time, Lomachenko's got about as much hype as anyone ever.

Isn't Russell top 5 just a few fights later? His only match between the Loma loss and Gonzo win was a decision over Chris Martin, and I don't think he's significantly better now than he was when Loma beat him; in that case I'm not sure why the ranking at the time of the fight matters much.

Loma may be overhyped, but a clear win over Russell and a KTFO of Martinez are very good for someone with 7 pro fights, and he's obviously a rare talent.

Both are exceptional talents, but with about 20 pro fights between them they have a ways to go. Smaller guys are always less popular than the bigger guys, and always will be.
