Crolla to grind out a decision. Wish he was fighting Flanagan but this is also a good fight so can't grumble too much.

Cracking fight, full credit to Crolla and Matchroom for making it.

For me an awful lot will depend on Linares hand and how it has/will have healed, Jorge whilst incredibly brave in the ring has been very
unlucky with all sorts of injuries both in and out of the ring, despite his extremely high skill level it could be a case of Crolla being in the right place
at the right time.

Good luck to Ant, it really is an incredible story.

I feel Crolla has the right style for Linares.

Dart in and out, nick the rounds and win a comfortable points decision.

Good fight.

Great fight and fair play to Crolla for jumping into big fight after big fight. Setting an example of how boxers should be.
Don't see how this is for the WBC belt though when Dejan Zlaticannin won it at the weekend. are the WBC gonna try and twist this and rob him? still good to see its for the ring magazine belt anyway where the winner should face Zlaticannin.

They made Linares one of those "Champions in Recess" so elevated the Zlaticanin fight to the full title at the weekend, I thought the Champs in Recess had to fight the champion if they came back so not sure about the validity of the two belts on the line scenario tbh

Let's get one thing clear. This is 1000% not a unification. For that to happen both fighters need a belt. Its a very good voluntary defence for crolla, nothing more.

WBC just stated its for the 'WBC diamond belt' which is like an exhibition belt which clarifies this not being a unification fight as first thought. Great fight none the less but this is just a snidey way for the promoters to hype it to the casuals as being a unification fight, and for the WBC to get a sanctioning fee.

Agreed. Arguably also shouldn't be for the ring belt. Winner of this vs Zlaticannin should be for that. But not gonna moan too much with the polotics as this is still a great fight for all spectators :TU:

His twitter said on Sky Sports. He's said this new Sky deal which kicks in next 'season' makes it easier to make fights such as this without PPV. Presumably by 'fights like this' he means fights with million quid purses, where the undercard isn't total sh1te like the last Crolla bill.

We'll wait for the official press conference tho.

I'm impressed with this fight whether the WBC belt is on the line or not, full credit to Crolla who could have taken far easier options than this. I didn't get on the Crolla bandwagon initially but I have really started to appreciate him over his last few contests...

Would be nice to see Kel Brook following his example - he has the talent, probably more gifted than Crolla

The brinksmanship between fwank and Eddie is delivering better and better fights for the fans. Fwank brings over fana for flanaghan, and - not to be outdone - Eddie lines up linares. It's tough to pick the better fight of the two.

Good fight and no need for the disingenuous unification crap.

Hopefully the winner fights Zlaticanin, just as Linares was supposed to. I can't consider either Crolla or Linares 'the man' of the division with Zlat right there.

I don't give a monkeys what belts are on the line. This is a cracking fight.

Flannagan should be asking himself a few questions right now...

first question i can imagine Terry asking himself is how in the hell is Crolla/Linares being called a unification fight?
second question being why are Eddie, Tesco Joe and Crolla ducking me so hard?

That sounds more like it.

Wes saying that Crolla is ducking Flannagan is amusing & belongs more on the current scene than here.

"Crolla's a coward"
