I think the WBC should undo offering him a new fight. Imagine Wilder losing against Arreola now? Then what? Povetkin needs to wait another few years?

They are trying to popularize boxing in China.
China is one of the BRIC - now BRICS - big mistake! - countries:

Pure 100% PC BS.
In that lying Hollywood movie - even Carter's defenders admitted it was BS! - they depicted the triple murderer Carter easily beating Joey Giardello and then losing because of "racist" judges. The Giardello family put up a website that refuted Jewison's - the movie's director - outrageous lies and showed the actual film of the fight. You can see it for yourself now on Youtube.
Carter was convicted twice by juries and there was no question of his guilt, and then he was going to be tried yet a third time when a leftist publicity seeking judge let him off on a technicality - and now they repeat the BS that was in that Hollywood movie and in Carter's own self serving books!
Re: THE CORRUPT WBC SLIDES WILDER PAST POVETKIN
That's not the way our system works... You don't have to prove a man is guilty beyond any question to send him to prison... But you HAVE to prove he was absolutely innocent to get a man falsely convicted of triple murder out of prison... When a conservative federal judge looked at the phony case, phony recanted witnesses, phony deals made with criminals to implicate Carter... and all the phony evidence the prosecution piled up that nobody in the world believed... and all the suppressed evidence in Carter's favor the judge didn't want Carter to spend 1 more day in jail... He let Carter free on a writ of Habeas Corpus that NOBODY was able to deny...x2x wrote:Kalan wrote:This is a message I just sent to the witless right wingers at "graphicwitness.com"x2x wrote: Carter was as guilty as hell despite the shyster lawyers and a liberal judge and Hollywood's lying movies. Prosecutors in Carter's frame up appealed the ruling to free Carter to higher courts and were unanimously turned down at every turn, because ALL the proven evidence showed Carter was innocent and NONE of the proven evidence demonstrated he was at the scene or took part in any murders.

Re: THE CORRUPT WBC SLIDES WILDER PAST POVETKIN
I'm struggling to see how Wilder could be 'slid past' Povetkin, given that Wilder is the champ....?
I don't believe everything I hear so I have a couple of questions on this, as I've not seen every single piece of info. The figures of 1 nanogram that Kalan etc have mentioned; where has this actually come from? Is it literally just Ryabinski? If so, I can see why people are sceptical.
I'm missing something with the 'Povetkin passed all tests' argument given all I've seen is press reports saying he's failed, without any specifics.
Now if, and that's a big IF, 'if' Povetkin has technically passed these tests, there must be something other than his promoter proving this?

Povetkin would be by far the best opponent of Wilder, so yes, not fighting him is "sliding past" him.MarkMcBurney wrote:I'm struggling to see how Wilder could be 'slid past' Povetkin, given that Wilder is the champ....?

1 MICROgram comes from a WADA document sited in many threads. Look it up. Being under 1 microgram doesn't mean that Povetkin passed the test. Neither does it mean that he failed the test. It means that there is a strong possibility that those are traces after September of last year and that additional investigation is needed. Negative tests in the beginning of April should be considered, but with such low concentration of the positive test, it could have just been a result of dehydration. Again, unfortunately we don't have sufficient official information on how sensitive those tests are, what a margin of error is, etc. Even 70 nanogram wasn't officially confirmed by anybody ...

That's my point - I understand the figures just don't know where they have come from, bar Povetkin's promoter, who has something of a vested interest. Have VADA said he failed categorically? If they have, it must have been above 1mg?

They have come from Povetkins promoter. He's just been angling for a defense against the lawsuit that wilder has now formally filed. Povetkins is guilty, will be suspended and wilder is going to get paid.

This is my take on this too.
The only numbers that are being released are from team Povetkin.
Povetkin is still under investigation from the WBC.
I eagerly await the findings

They have NOT said he failed!!!! ... If Povetkin tested at 1 microgram or higher VADA, the WBC, and Wilder's team would be shouting it from the rooftops... But since he tested with an allowable concentration they're making THAT sound like he's automatically guilty of being the Energizer Bunny because he had ANY Meldonium in his system... They're using innuendo and letting their puppets in the media to slander Povetkin, say he failed tests, and try to RUIN Russia as a venue for Boxing... They don't like being outbid by upstart promoters so they created this Tempest in a Teapot... If they're sued they think they can just say, "We never stated once that Povetkin failed any test" and they think they'll be in the clear. I don't think they will be because they implied he's a crook and a cheat.

WBC, because Wada and Vada failed to do their tests correct in time. It was Wilder who requested these failing compagnies to be involved, it was the WBC who accepted that and it was Povetkin who had no choice left but accepting the WBC their request. After all it makes sense why Wilder suddenly accepted the fight when the failing Wada and Vada were involved, and suddenly didn't care about the cold in Russia any more, since he probably knew the fight would never happen any more, because of the failing compagnies.
