already done a tidy profit me

the trick is buy and sell quickly before demand drops, ironically I got face value tickets from stub hub and sold them within half hour on another resale 'tout' site for around 30% profit.

Can't beat them join them I put enough £ back into boxing buying tickets so have no qualms ripping off the casuals on these silly over hyped fights.

The Stone Roses guys are getting their fingers burnt, they added to many days to turn a profit. A good tout doesn't cry about losing a few quid, because you're still in profit from other deals. Adele was ridiculous and Catfish and the bottlemen did good money. Boxing is hard because promoters lie about sell outs!

I've done alright on the Roses, but again got some and got em sold quickly before they added the last two dates. Plus been picking up a few for well below face value and shifting on this week. Seats will be going for about £10-£20 come 7/8pm tonight.

The name printed on ticket put me off bothering with the Adele dates, seemed after was easy to get round though

Yes, I got Peter Kay when he swore he was doing 10. He ended up doing literally hundreds. Same with Michael Jackson. You want them on at 9.05.

Same I'm actually planning on going (prob Saturday) but despite having tickets for each of the 4 days at some point never even entertained the idea of doing anything but get one outside.

That's completely different.

A pub that has to pay higher rent/rates, more staff, more equipment/upkeep, higher insurance is obviously going to have to mark up higher than a bloke selling cans in a corner shop.

Its a distortion of supply and demand - there is no shortage of, say, Fosters Lager. If you want to sit at home and drink out of a can then good for you, yours for a quid. If you want to sit in a building someone else is paying for on furniture someone else has paid for and drink out of a glass someone else has paid for, pulled by bar staff someone else is paying then you're going to have to pay more than a quid for it.

Profiteering from very limited supply (in this case, tickets to a one-off event) is considerably more questionable than someone marking up beer, milk or fruit & veg.
