KOTV...
KOTV...
Does anyone still watch this show? I record it and watch every week purely out of habit. It is always a couple of weeks behind and it is genuinely shìt! How has it managed to stay on so long? I remember watching it In my bedroom when I was a wee boy about 20 years ago!

same I record it and watch it every week. result wise its miles behind some of the fights it shows from the states are just a complete joke and the fights from the uk are normally from a matchroom undercard. Every now and then they do a feature thats not too bad

It survives because it fills unattractive time slots at a low cost.

Don't complain, it's free boxing on one of the council channels!
Re: KOTV...
Weird show. It's padded out with schedules, fight results and rankings (all out of date), occasionally interrupted with obscure fights.
Still, I watch if it's on and it's better than nothing.

They have the occasional interesting low level fight, last time I saw it they had Yori Boy Campas still boxing in Montana or somewhere similar.
Re: KOTV...
I saw that. Was he not boxing that Bonsante fella that was on the contender?leejonesjnr wrote:They have the occasional interesting low level fight, last time I saw it they had Yori Boy Campas still boxing in Montana or somewhere similar.

Yeah I think so, memory is a little hazy but I think it was as recent as this year and I'm sure he won.Stuarty30 wrote:I saw that. I sometimes wonder why I still watch it but it always makes me smile when they refer to themselves as "the undisputed no.1 boxing show" or something similar.
Re: KOTV...
love KOTV its just...all a bit weird and i quite like it for that.some of the fights are just pure random but occasionally you will see a fighter coming through that will go onto something.Gilberto Ramirez in my case I think he was shown in his first few fights on there.dont change plz kotv
Re: KOTV...
is it still on channel 4?. gutter ringside is gone
Re: KOTV...
I record it and watch it weekly (although must admit tend to fast forward a lot if I've already seen it). I quite like it though the other week they had two lads making there debuts from a sports hall in America....where else you gonna see stuff like that on tv
Re: KOTV...
Yeah it's on Ch4 at daft o'clock on a Tues night/Wed Morn. I miss ringside as well. Least we've still got the boxing hour.brilo33 wrote:is it still on channel 4?. gutter ringside is gone
Re: KOTV...
Ringside was a bit of a joke by the end (aimed at football/darts fans) but I do miss some bits Ed Robinson's bit etc.Stuarty30 wrote:Yeah it's on Ch4 at daft o'clock on a Tues night/Wed Morn. Re: KOTV...
Yeah his bits were always informative. It was good if they had a fight to build up. Johnny Nelson was starting to act more of a cheesy helmet as the weeks went by though! If they bagged him and had more of Jamie Moore and Ed Robinson it would've been a top show.ste1983 wrote:Ringside was a bit of a joke by the end (aimed at football/darts fans) but I do miss some bits Ed Robinson's bit etc.Stuarty30 wrote:Yeah it's on Ch4 at daft o'clock on a Tues night/Wed Morn. It is still a shame that at a time Sky Sports are asking their boxing fans to fork out more (with increased subscription charges and far more pay per views) that they don't even give them a weekly magazine show anymore.
Re: KOTV...

Re: KOTV...
yep I watch it every week - I actually start to look forward to the last fight on the show. It's normally 2 blokes that clearly can't fight and woefully out of shape. It's a guilty pleasure.
I do like then re-runs of old fights too.
