How did you guys score Warren vs Payano 2?

Post by gilgamesh »

I'm just curious as to how other people scored that fight.

I had it 115-113 Payano myself, but it was a very close fight with about 5 swing rounds that could've went either way. I had no issue with the official decision as the scores were reasonable, but I'm still curious as to how other fans saw it.

115-113 Warren.

Could of been more decisive if his punch output didn't become non existent for 4 of the middle rounds.

115-113 Warren

He landed the cleaner shots throughout, but got outworked in the middle rounds. It was very close, but I think he closed strong and deserved the win.

I had it 114-114. Odd fight - both looked good at some points, very flawed at others. Is there something wrong with Warren's cardio fitness? He seems to be able to produce some brilliant work, but then needs a cup of tea and a rest for the next 30-60 seconds after any sustained burst.

Maybe just spending too much time as an amateur, and making his body used to the shorter bouts. He definitely falls asleep through long stretches in fights and is easy to outwork in stretches.

Well then it's just a flaw in his style then. He'll be beaten because of that flaw quite a few times before it's all said and done.
