Wilder vs Arreola
Wilder vs Arreola
Anyone taking Arreola?
Re: Wilder vs Arreola
I don't see why anybody would. Arreola got his ass handed to him twice by Stiverne who Wilder beat pretty comfortably. Arreola has looked like absolute shit since the 2nd Stiverne fight struggling in literally every fight he's had since.
Against Curtis Harper. A Journeyman with a 12-3 record. He was hurt badly and almost beaten. I only had him winning that fight by a point
Against Fred Kassi. He fought to a draw. Everyone else in the Top 20 who has fought Kassi has beaten him.
Against Travis Kauffman I thought Kauffman should've gotten the decision.
Arreola isn't even Top 20 anymore IMO. Wilder is gonna beat him easy. He'll probably just move and jab, and outbox him for a little while, and then he'll start opening up more and get the knockout somewhere between the 6th and 8th.
This is probably gonna be Wilder's easiest title defense yet.

Surprising No.
I really hoped he'd get Washington at short notice instead.

Who care?
It's not a real defense, just Wilder's team making small money, to earn back at least part of the money they wasted on training camp abroad.
And nobody beside Arreola didn't agree to get a beating for peanuts![[icon_shame.gif] :shame:](./images/smilies/icon_shame.gif)

Who's voted for Arreola by KO?
I would have struggled to pick Arreola by KO when he had some use as a fighter, but now, he's on his way to being finished & that's from a low base in the first place.

Re: Wilder vs Arreola
I am surprised more don't think Arreola doesn't have at least a puncher's chance, with Wilder's glass jaw and all.
Arreola did take out Molina (or was it Duhapas) in one round, so you know he will be swinging for the fence. The first round or two will be exciting. Arreola's nose will end up being flatter and wider than it already is.
Re: Wilder vs Arreola
The only 2 real questions are:
1) Will Arreola curse or cry first in the post fight interview and
2) Will he test positive for cannabis.

I think Arreola can be a live opponent if he's in the shape of his life... but i doubt that given the short notice
Still rooting for him though

The shape of his life... Is that a circle or some sort of ellipse ?Ricky_ wrote:Badhusker wrote:I am surprised more don't think Arreola doesn't have at least a puncher's chance, with Wilder's glass jaw and all.Arreola did take out Molina (or was it Duhapas) in one round, so you know he will be swinging for the fence. Re: Wilder vs Arreola
This is a fight Wilder wants, so he probably won't get tested at all, just like Szpilka.Tony1244 wrote:The only 2 real questions are:

Re: Wilder vs Arreola
Testing positive for Cannabis doesn't effect the result unless you win, but he'd probably get suspended and fined if he tested positive. So if he wants to keep his Boxing license intact, and keep all of his check he might wanna steer clear of the Mary Jane for a little while.asdfjkl wrote:This is a fight Wilder wants, so he probably won't get tested at all, just like Szpilka.Tony1244 wrote:The only 2 real questions are:

Re: Wilder vs Arreola
Great to see the Bronze Bomber not backing away from peril.
After the pathetic #1 contender blew his shot, courtesy of the usual Russian cheating (great to know the Russian track and field team has been banned from the Olympics due to their lengthy history of using banned substances) Wilder is giving perhaps the heavyweight divisions biggest puncher an opportunity.
On late notice, Wilder doesn't avoid danger.
Naturally, the Brits here predictably dismiss Arreola and ridicule the outstanding American champion.
Couldn't have anything to do with their ongoing love affair with Fury and Joshua, could it? Nooooooooo.

Re: Wilder vs Arreola
I wouldn't even dignify this phony junk fight by responding. Povetkin would have exposed the tv hype job and they had no intention of ever fighting him. Wilder didn't even go to Russia. The New World Order vampires are now conducting a war against Russia's elite athletes. Russia should pull out of the Olympics and out of these corrupt boxing alphabet things as well.

Poll should read:
Will Arreola be alive enough to get his lazy stoner ass to the ring?
1. Fat chance
2. No chance

Re: Wilder vs Arreola
TBH, I'm not even sure if Wilder is the best of America. I wouldn't be surprised if Jennings for example would win against him. I'm not surprised he didn't dare to face Briggs for free either, saying Briggs wasn't a top 15 WBC fighter (just like Arreola) and all his other piles of bullshit.SenorPipino wrote:Great to see the Bronze Bomber not backing away from peril.

Re: Wilder vs Arreola
Wilder is the best American Heavyweight... but I'm not supporting him anymore because of his cherry-picking and avoiding Povetkin... I hope he get knocked out when he faces Haye, Fury, Ortiz, or Joshua... I hope he gets run out of the sport.

Who wins in a fight, Arreola or Breazeale?
