"Mysterious" Billy Smith--vs--Fritzie Zivic

Post by barry »

I don't recall ever seeing this match-up anywhere! Two of the "Dirtiest" fighters to step in the ring. Who would win? "Mysterious" Billy Smith--vs--Fritzie Zivic?

It would either end by early double DQ, or I would choose Smith as he seemed to be more durable overall! There would not be anything scientific about this match. It would be a nasty brawl for however long it lasted!

barry- nice to see you posting.

It would probably be a an ugly fight. Zivic was hard to knockout, so I don't think Smith has a very good chance of doing that.
Zivic was often outpointed, so I could see Griffith doing that. Would probably have been a hard fight to judge.

What a rugged, dogged fight this would be. Who is the poor ref? Lol.

I love this sort of zany matchup hypothetical

I would take $100.00 and toss it in the air, if it landed to my left, I'm putting it on Smith, if it lands to the right of me i'd place it on Zivic.
It would be all about happenstance, and the outcome would be impossible to calculate. No ref could control it, so maybe do without one in this case.
Hmm, maybe a good candidate for a cage match? Winner take all? Might as well exploit their idiosyncrasies to the max.

To evolve the question just a bit, and of course this is a fantasy.....which of these guys would win, IF they just went in and observed all the rules, and fought the best fight they had in them?

I reckon fritzie wins this - at his best he was as cute as they come. outpoints smith, but when the referee raises zivic's hand, of course the old horseshoe pops out and the fight is declared a no-contest

smith liked to chew on the top of his opponents' head, so as fritzie had a good head of hair, smith would bite some hair off of fritze and spit it in his face, and blind him and smith would win.
