Re: Boxrec Ratings - Read first before commenting on the ratings
I understand Usyk being #1 at cruiserweight since he beat the man who beat the man (Huck) who had a lot of points. Am stumped a bit why Briedis is ranked #2 and Bellew #3 above Lebedev since the latter has beaten really solid opposition in recent years and Briedis and Bellew have won maybe one fight against contenders at cruiserweight. Am guessing it's because the guys they fought in their most recent fights had big numbers, but particularly in Briedis' case, it seems odd to have him over a longtime belt-holder who has generally not been on the cupcake train
Re: Boxrec Ratings - Read first before commenting on the ratings
Same thoughts here. Incidentally, I think Lebedev was above them (he was at least above Bellew) but dropped when there was a modification to the BoxRec formula.

Briedis defeated Durodola with 196 points and Manuel Charr with 152 points at heavyweight = 220 points at cruiserweight and had no loss
Bellew defeated Makabu with 252 points, Cleverly with 194 points and lost to Stevenson with 542 points
Lebedev defeated Kalenga with 177, Ramizez 162 and lost to Jones with 52 points!

Fundamentally you don't seem to understand Boxing so the formula is just pants. www.premierboxingorganisation.com/cruiserweight-200 Usyk beat Glowacki who beat Huck thats the 1-2-3. Briedis is not even close despite his win over Manuel Charr!computerrank wrote:since 2013:giacomino wrote:I understand Usyk being #1 at cruiserweight since he beat the man who beat the man (Huck) who had a lot of points. Release 28_2 online now
A corrected release o_28_2 in online now.
I fixed an error in the launch algorithm. About 3000 active boxers were rated in a too high launch before and their launch state was reduced now. So the global points level dropped by about 5 %.
I enhanced the additional points by 5 % to balance the global points level. But the affected 3000 boxers and their opponents have lost points.

Re: Boxrec Ratings - Read first before commenting on the ratings
why is Adonis Stevenson for the period 30.11.2013 since the fight Tony bellew has not been reduced, the rating on 31.05.2015 at Adonis was not the opposition's 50%

Martin
any chance you could tell me where this boxer (306342) rates on the all-time list of British Featherweights, British Fighters at any weight, Featherweights of any country, and lb for lb?
I know its not going to be very high on any of them but its a minor family curiosity for a friend of mine.

Stevensons rating war reduced 2 times since 30.11.2013.mike1989 wrote:why is Adonis Stevenson for the period 30.11.2013 since the fight Tony bellew has not been reduced, the rating on 31.05.2015 at Adonis was not the opposition's 50%
It was reduced from 780 to 757 points 18 months(748 days later) after his win against Chad Dawson from 2013-06-08 with a new checkpoint on around 2014-12-08. Based on the then best opponent from 2013-11-30 Bellew with 367 points, Stevenson lost 780/2 -367 = 23 points.
It was reduced from 746 to 564 points 18 months later on 2016_06-08 with a new checkpoint on around 2017-12-08. Based on the then best opponent from 2015-09-11 Karpency with 191 points, Stevenson lost 746/2 -191 = 182 points.

Tony bellew was the last opponent for Adonis with a rating of 50+ this 30.11.2013, 18 months before the downgrade came 31.05.2015, it turns out that sleduushee the downgrade will occur on 1-2 December 2016. because Adonis was not worthy opozicii???

the first reduction was on 2014-12-08 ...
Re: Boxrec Ratings - Read first before commenting on the ratings
why're? after all, 30.11.2013 year, the rating of the Adonis 632 points and Tony bellew 367 points is more than 50% of the rating of Adonis, respectively the point of reduction of the first should be 31.05.2015

No - Adonis had 746 points after the Bellew bout. This rating was not covered by Bellews 367 points before the bout.mike1989 wrote:why're? after all, 30.11.2013 year, the rating of the Adonis 632 points and Tony bellew 367 points is more than 50% of the rating of Adonis, respectively the point of reduction of the first should be 31.05.2015
The 746 points were covered by his win against Chad Dawson from 2013-06-08 - but only until 2014-12-08.
And then - based on the then best opponent from 2013-11-30 Bellew with 367 points, Stevenson lost 780/2 -367 = 23 points - down to 757 points.

I realized then vattetot paragraph does not accurately determines the application of this tworzenia: The rating of a boxer is reduced by 0% to 50%, if he didn't box an opponent with a rating of at least 50% (for men) or 33% (for women) to 0% of his own rating points within 18 months.
it is not logical example : the boxer won Ko or ud has a rating of opponet after the battle 47% then if SD or MD has a rating of 51% from the winning of his opponent. We see a paradox if a fighter more convincingly wins the battle will receive a reduction of the rating if no less then??????????????

Your "not logical example" (it is a bit more complicated again):
If boxer A after a KO has no other bout covering his new rating of 1/47% = 106% of his opponent. He will not get the 106% but only 103% of his opponent = instant reduction. Due to this instant reduction boxer A's valid opponent rating will be regarded as 50% of this new rating.
So there will be no further reduction within 18 months as long as the rating doesn't change due to other reasons.
A stronger win always and anytime after the bout will yield more points than a weaker one.

I agree. But why to complicate things. all ingenious is simple. If a fighter had no opposition 50% - if you had a + at the time of the battle, it is clear to all. This interpretation of what I wrote in a more simple and understandable ???

This would not be simple, it would be too simple, it would be unfair.
If the the boxer with his KO would gain the full 106%, it would not be covered by any pre-bout rating of any opponent. So he only gets 103%.
The smaller win with a MD or SD is completely covered.
There is no disadvantage for the stronger win. Simply the points win is a bit less than it could be. But the points win is still higher than for a weaker win at any time.

Re: Boxrec Ratings - Read first before commenting on the ratings
with a rating of Nicholas Walters something wrong??? last opponent with a rating of 50+% is Nonito Doner 18.10.2014, so the downgrade of the Walters 20.04.2016. the Walters was a tie with Jason Sosa and rating of Walters dropped to 450. then the formula 450/2-250= -25 because 425 points and not current 364 points for Walters ???
