True. I see what you're saying there. Whether Spence could box up on his toes like that I don't know.Counter-puncher wrote:lefty wrote:Thurman moves quicker on his feet than Spence who IMO is a little flat footed.Chepppaaa wrote:power 10

so yeah, a bit overrated, since athletism place a big factor in how the boxer is capable to moves on his feet, upper body movemant etc
spence #1 ww
Spence stalks. Thurman kinda bounces/jitters around. basically, its mentality-as-footwork, if you know what i mean.
It's just me who thinks Thurman is overrated ?!

IMO, he's done nothing to warrant the hype as of yet.

Post-fight observation after Thurman's exciting bout with Porter:
If you put a gun to my head, I'd pick Thurman over Spence today in a very very close fight. Down the stretch, the big fight experience factor would be the difference for Thurman.
However, if you put that same gun to my head a year or so from now, I'd bite the bullet and take Spence by KO. Thurman looks like a guy who might cave to pressure from a top fighter. Spence will soon be one.
