So why then all Russian athletes take it? Just for the fun?
North American professional boxers caught doing PED's include... Roy Jones.. Shane Mosley.. Fernando Vargas.. Antonio Tarver.. Brandon Rios.. Luis Ortiz.. Joan Guzman.. Erik Morales.. Evander Holyfield.. Mike Tyson.. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.. James Toney.. Tim Witherspoon.. and Tommy Morrison.. among many others.
Russian boxer caught doing PEDs are ZERO that I'm aware of -- since Povetkin's concentration was as small fraction (.07 micrograms) of the allowable amount.

While that maybe true, Russia is no saint when it comes to PEDs. Did you hear about 90% of their Olympic team doping? I'm not sure if that's accurate but I do know there is some controversy over Russia even being allowed to compete in the Olympics due to doping and that's a disgrace.

Wasn't the entire Russian track and field team banned from the Olympics?

Oh so that's it. I only briefly overheard it on the radio awhile ago. Not a good look. Russians have always been seen by the world as a bunch of Ivan Dragos. I guess they want to keep looking like that at any cost. There's a saying "there's always that odd one that's.." but in Russia's case it's the one that's not odd thats ruining it for everyone else.

It's VADA or WADAS fault IMO. Ryabinsky and Povetkin have the right to be angry and someone should pay. I just don't think Wilder should be the one to pay. He called him a drug cheat and that was warranted. Look at the other boxers who call other boxers WORSE things and don't have any truth to what they say.
Everybody with a brain said that pretty much from start of lol, Wilder knew very well from day one that Povetkin was innocent, that's why the WBC could only delay the fight instead of flagging it of.
Can you prove Wilder knew he was innocent? Cos you are speaking on his behalf?
I think they got to chase who started the problem and that's VADA.
No, ofcourse I can't prove that he thinks something else as he acts like he says he thinks, can you prove he thinks Joshua will have an easy night, while he says he thinks Breazeale will do a good job?

We are talking about Wilder. I provided a read on what Wilder THINKS, I dont agree with it.
Look you need to calm down. You get too angry lol
Im basically on your side with Povetkins lawsuit BUT I think they dont have a strong case for suing Wilder, waste of time. They should sue the ones RESPONSIBLE for saying that hes positive. Wilder didnt conduct the drug test it was VADA. VADA is responsible and should be accountable for THEIR errors.

90%?? Look, all of them have black hair, let's ban everyone with black hair!
That's basically why Russians are banned.

You should look it up on the news. Its old news now though that the Russians are having some issues getting into the Olympics due to a lot of them doping. Sounds like you didnt know..
What has the Russian track team have to do with boxing, as some posters have been saying from day one was that the fight was postponed not cancelled, nothing was said about he testing positive by vada or WADA, they said it was an adverse result, if wilder did say he was a drug cheat, he's going to by paying plenty of money over

When Holyfield, Tyson and Witherspoon were caught?

You kind of answered what was suppose to be your question as your first sentence. We were talking about Ryabinsky and Povetkin suing Wilder and as discussions go, it strayed a bit but still staying on the subject of doping.
You had to read the traded posts, that wouldve answered it for you.
Boxers call other boxers things all the time. Its nothing new.

It's some Track & Field coaches but they're punishing the whole Track & Field Team. However Russian Boxing has not been tainted. I think this is more politics than anything else. They're trying to hammer Russia for their military moves in the Ukraine. There're a number of international trade sanctions placed on Russia that mostly impact the average Russian. This is another broad hit. Punish everybody for the infractions of a few, like preventing teams from participating in NCAA competitions because recruiting restrictions were violated by the college. Why not fine the college and fire those administrators and bad actors rather than hammer the whole team?

Ahh I didnt know that. So thats where they've got their inspiration from. Interesting..
They got their inspiration from the lies, innuendo, false accusations issuing forth from the big mouths of Dibella and Wilder. That was picked up and run with by the American media, and numerous websites and youtube.com yappers making the same false claims about Povetkin failing PED tests. Followed by a postponement of the fight, for no reason other than trying to destroy a promotion that Ryabinsky legitimately won the purse bid on - followed by the doubtful Chris Arreola stepping in front of Povetkin and getting the World Title Fight Povetkin earned in the ring.

That is a part of coordinated sanctions campaign in all areas to make Russian leadership and specifically Putin feel the pain. Popular sports are hugely supported by Russian government, so banning the whole track team is an effective punch into Putin's face who is also a big sports fan.
If you look at the ban itself, it is outrageous. What happened with innocent until proven guilty? What would people say if a whole neighborhood was arrested, because a few drug dealers leaved there?
Ryabinsky suing Wilder and DiBella? For defamation because they basically confirmed what VADA ruled? WBC cancelled the fight, not Wilder or DiBella. The lawsuit will cost Ryabinsky a lot of money, and will go no where. I'm not sure when the WADA announced they would ban the drug, but the ones using it possibly could have stopped earlier to clear it from their system. For those of you that argue it was not performance enhancing, like others have said, they wouldn't use it if it didn't help them.
I hope Wilder takes on the winner of Joshua vs Breazeale fight. I honestly think it could go either way. It will be a fun one to watch.

The Russian track and field team is not banned just because of some coaches. There was widespread, systematic doping, with top officials accepting bribes ect. Do you realize how many Russians have been stripped of medals over the last several years?

Joshua's management will not take that risk at this point.
They have the golden goose, and a young one...can bring golden eggs for 5-6 years...so why risk it?
Wilder's mngmnt really want that 10M fight...their goose is older (31?), and his eggs are only silver-))))

You need to work on your reading comprehension. VADA didn't rule anything and WBC didn't cancel the fight. They just postponed it till thorough investigation is completed, and Povetkin is still WBC #1.

It's just common practice of counter law suit. DiBella sued earlier. More of the legal shitt...
Wilder's case is more solid, and the damages(lost time, training camp expenses etc) much more countable.
Its poor from VADA to ban a substance and not have guidelines in place.
Wilders not at fault IMO but Ryabinsky and Povetkin have been inspired by a defamation lawsuit that Mayweather had lost to Paqcuiao (according to Purist) when Floyd accused Manny of doping. Team Povetkin wouldve thought about it before they decided to annouce their motion to sue Wilder. I think more will be revealed in weeks to come.
Personally I think Wilder is not guilty of anything. The fight was going to happen but then this.

Being dumb is not an excuse. Adults need to think when they open their mouth, especially when they got millions to lose.
