When Naz made Sky's Adam Smith cry like a baby

Naz used to have ago at his critics. Seen him verbally lay into Darke and I believe Watt - or was McCrory there - after one of his fights broadcast of Sky Sports. The team did look a bit shell shocked.

Nasty little bugger, all that ego, arrogance and confidence all rolled up, that allowed him to hit the heights he hit but also saw him get humbled or some would say comeuppance.

Froch has done the same as well when Watt criticised his poor technique and "totally irresponsible" defence.

Good on Froch for that one! Watt needs to retire

I like Watt - for all his flaws - but I can't blame Froch for being annoyed at him. That first fight with Groves was so biased it was untrue. Ignored every punch that Froch landed.

He made it up to him with his commentary in the second fight. lol at 'he's controlling this fight with the jab'

Yeah, Smith referred to it in his book. It sounded a bit surreal, Naz gave him a dressing down in a hotel kitchen surrounded by desserts, although I'm sure it was stressful for Adam at the time

Hadn't heard this before but was listening to Boxing Asylum podcast the other day and they referenced it. Think they said it happened in the US and Naz was in a foul mood and let rip into Smith who was taken away sobbing. Anybody else hear this story before?

I like the thought of Smith having to be physically helped along sobbing uncontrollably.

It pleases me.

Instantly I see the scene in my head now. Its back stage, naz has his face to the wall doing his handwraps, the younger ingle is next to him and 5-6 Yemeni flunkies...there are a few media reporters milling around.... Smith is eating a sandwich from the buffet and in a conversation at a table. Naz suddenly swaggers over to Smith and in a afro American accent says " I don't like yous pussy bwoy" he than turns his back and farts on Smith and his sandwich. Colin Hart tries to intervene Naz tells him to pisss off. The Yemeni flunkies stop Ingle from intervening. Than Naz pulls a chair up and sits reverse side face to face with Smith, he tells smith " you like boxing how about u put some gloves on now me and u". Adam smith tries to leave and a flunkie pushes him down. Naz goes apeshit and suddenly Adam smith is pissing down his trouser leg

He than breaks into laughter and says I was kidding.

Nasty piece of sshit at times was Naz in his boxing prime.

Adam Smith is a good guy I don't know why people take the mickey out of him. Maybe as he doesn't seem like the sort into boxing or too public school Jewish for some peoples liking. But hes a very nice guy and if Naz bullied him that is pathetic and says a lot about what an asrsehole naz was in the mid 90s.

I took the piss a bit in an earlier post but i like Adam Smith too,i read his book a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it,he's got a real passion for the sport and really loves his job,his book was out before his promotion at Sky and im not really into that side of the sport to understand what exactly his input to the matchmaking etc goes so i cant really criticise him on the front

He's seen some things though and has some stories to tell,im sure we'd secretly love to be Adam Smith even if just for a day

watt was very critical of froch in the taylor fight and in my mind was spot on, not that it mattered in the end

Because I don't like his face after paying 26.99 a month to watch a load of 60-54 'fights' with him going in his okay yah accent 'we see you were in the zone yah know'

It's allowed, I won't be happy for him, he won't care what I think, I am sure he is fine whatever I think of him.

I was a fan of Naz (the boxer) but the sign of a champion is how they react and come back from defeat.

Barrera not only beat him physically but also mentally and I am sure that this stays with him today - I am glad because he sounds a right nasty prick

Think it was before the McCullough fight. I heard Naz allegedly pinned Smith to the wall by his throat and Smith started crying.

As I heard it, Naz was giving it the big "I am", the "look at me, the superstar" BS in the gym and Lloyd pretty much told him to save that bollox for outside the gym, not to do it in front of them, Naz carried on and Lloyd slapped him. Now I would not eff with big Lloyd and have no reason to disbelieve him
