Pffft, he has a ton of heart. He's limited. But he's also fighting the best heavy since Lewis.

Audrey lacked courage, but had lots of talent.

Breazeale has lots of heart, but lacks talent.

Breazeale actually has heart. Harrison never showed any of that.

I'd say that's Wlad as of now or maybe Vitali. Joshua could do it though.

A man whose best wins are against Dillian Whyte and Dominic Breazeale, has a helluva a lot to prove before his achievements eclipse the Klitschkos, or we can say with any confidence, that his ability is comparable to the top Heavyweights of the last 20 years

I think Breazeale and Harrison are a fair comparison. In another thread I listed some names of Brits and Americans who were undefeated HWs until....

Jack Bodell
Frank Bruno
Audley Harrison
Gary Mason

Charles Martin
Duane Bobick
Michael Grant
Tommy Morrison
Gerry Cooney
Tex Cobb

I don't rate any heavies of the last 20 years. Joshua looks the part to me, no doubt he has much to do on paper.

Joshua is ahead of the Klitschko Bros and Lewis.. They were best previous Heavyweight Champions before Joshua.

Lewis was vulnerable to right hands... Not only did Rahman and McCall knock Lewis out with 1 shot, but Vitali nearly had Lewis out in the 2nd round with straight right hands.. Joshua has the best right ever and would nail Lewis to the floor.. Waldimir doesn't have an inside game. Once AJ closed on him and got him on the ropes, it would be all over.. Prime Vitali would be tough for Joshua. He's never been knocked down or behind on points.. VK's 2 losses were due to injuries in fights where he was winning on points.. It's a matter of outpointing VK over 12... Joshua has the speed and capability to do that to prime Vitali.

Fury did a great job on aging Wlad...but when he gets in there with AJ it's curtains... Same with Wilder... I don't think Ortiz and Joshua are going to fight.

As people have pointed out though for various reasons just looking at how looks better against poor opposition isn't reliable, so many prospects have been so badly misjudged by most it's almost comical, that's why the most important thing is what they've actually accomplished, untill someone wins at the top level, all you can do is speculate really. And Wlad has achieved far more than anyone else in this era. Vitali just hasn't beaten as good people, Fury has only one top win, and Joshua and Ortiz have none, saying they've surpassed ATG is a fornicating joke.

I'm not saying Joshua has surpassed ATG's in achievements and reputation... He certainly hasn't... HIs skills an punching power are simply better and there's nothing to joke about there... One can tell that just by looking at many thousands of boxers and boxing matches for more than 60 years. Especially if he has a lot of experience in all phases of the business.

How does anyone determine that Buster Douglas was going to beat Mike Tyson with Buster's miserable record of losses and getting knocked out several times??? ... How does anyone determine that Ali would beat Sonny Liston??? ... Ali hadn't accomplished anything yet... You do those things by ignoring "expert" opinion and focusing on facts.. You analyze how 2 fighters would do given all their differing talents, abilities, dimensions, strengths, weaknesses, and style interactions.. That's the only way you can come up with odds for a fight... and the only way for professional bettors to determine if those odds are super cuckoo or not.

Comparing Breazale to Audley is unfair to him. He showed a lot of courage against AJ, he just wasn't strong, powerful or cute enough to win the fight.
