Congrats to Thurman. He obviously won the 12th round. But he was supposed to be clearly better than Porter, according to some, and he really isn't. Thurman and Porter... pretty much completely equal.

According to some dummies. Porter is legit.

I had it 114-114.

Crowd booing the decision loud and for a long time.
Great fight though, would love to see these two fight again.

When you watch fights in person it's hard to tell what's going on and what's really landing. Especially the hard stuff. Porters come forward aggression will always woo crowds who can't rely see who is actually landing what. Thurman won by landing the hardest shots in several rounds.

thurman won a close descision, most important, fans won, both were gving good action, did all they did, great boxing !!!

good mix with thurman, spence, brook and timmy. they need to mix it up! i still view spence the best, but swinging thurman can change it all, i like his timing and counter at times.

This division has SO MUCH to give the sport and the fans. Sadly we get a meaningful fight down there like every 18 months when we should be getting 3 of them a year. Division is loaded. It's time for somebody to fight Spence. 154 lb division is seamingly the same thing. Time for Lara, Charlos, Andrade, Canelo, Julian Williams to start fighting each other. No mor Vanes' or Willie Monroes.

Brook, Spence, Thurman and Garcia need to fight each. Any combo is fine by me and winner of each fight.

Porter has fought Brook and Thurman, meaning Thurman and Brook have each fought Porter. Somebody get Danny Garcia in with one of these guys (or Spence) instead of washed up welterweights like Guerrero and Malignaggi.

Garcia is being wisely steered clear of Pac, Spence, Thurman, Brook and Porter. But this is the problem with boxing.

Just think, Crawford will be joining this crew in the near future.

Thought Thurman needed the last two rounds to get a draw and he got it. Close entertaining bout but not surprised KT got the decision. Isn't Garcia fighting brook?

Vargas is fighting Brook.

Porter needed the last 3 just to keep it close, didn't get any of them at least not clearly. He was missing a lot, getting away with a lot, but eating leather often.

I saw the fight again and carefully, my final scorecards per round were like this:

Round 1 - Thurman
Round 2 - Porter
Round 3 - Thurman
Round 4 - Thurman
Round 5 - Porter
Round 6 - Porter
Round 7 - Porter
Round 8 - Thurman
Round 9 - Porter
Round 10 - Thurman
Round 11 - Thurman
Round 12 - Porter

114-114 (6-6)

Final Result = DRAW

Nothing more fair I think.

I like come forward boxers, but Porter comes forward mainly to wrestle. He failed to bully Thurman, and Keith landed higher quality punches some of which rocked Porter. 115:113 is a good score. Draw would be acceptable too, but Porter definitely did not deserve a win.
