A few years ago there was a video uploaded of Michael Gomez vs Youssef Al Hamidi, Gomez was the first to stop Hamidi and he did it on bodyshots. I thought I had downloaded it but I can't find it and its now no longer on youtube. Does anyone have a copy of this fight?

Been dieing to find that fight. There used to be a Manchester based boxing show called seconds out that showed it n full but I can't find a link anywhere

I remember being at the fight, and also watching a young John Kays on the undercard.

Gomez was on his comeback trail and got two cuts in the first round.

Al Hamidi was a tough kid and Gomez was struggling with his awkward style before getting the finish to the body.

I remember a few fights later he beat Crolla on itv on a Khan undercard, was quite a shock at the time. Gave John Murray a tough fight at short notice around the same time when John Fewkes pulled out.

Gomez was my all time uk fav. Never in a dull one. Wonder what he's up to now? Hope his mental health alright

yeah, and thats what a shot Gomez did to him while the others struggled with him. Badly want that fight.

Proper character.

He didn't look too good on the ringside "where are they now" caption last year or before last.

His son seems to be doing well though.
