Used to him now, probably will miss him when he's gone, on a side note he's suffered the heartache of losing a child twice now which must take some getting over

He's like Larry Merchant in his final years. Sky are looking after him.

nobody less annoying than merchant, he took a round to get a sentence out, the man was tedious to the extreme.

Jim Watt is fantastic. Annoying as hell when you disagree with him but he generates a raw and sincere sense of excitement which is rare in british commentry.

I like Jim Watt.

He's better than UK's effeminate-sounding Barry Jones, and better than some US commentators such as Teddy Atlas.

Jim is a much better pundit than commentator. I enjoy his ringside analysis.

I'm nostalgic about Watt as he has been the soundtrack to my boxing life pretty much. He has his off nights but i have heard him give some of the best in-fight analyses ever. Him and Reg calling Chavez-Rosario was a masterpiece, to name one, his analysis of Macklin-Moore was pitch-perfect, to name the other one that really sticks in my mind.

He and his partner John Rawling are the worst in the UK.

All the Sky commentators are better.

He's getting a lot more praise on here than I thought he would... In my honest opinion, I think he is heavily biased as a commentator (and personally I hate it when he is commentating) but as a pundit he shows his true boxing knowledge and you can see he has vast amount of experience and he does know what he is talking about.

I'd have Watt over Halling (I know they do separate roles) any day of the week.

Apparently the Australian fella Chopper stayed up late once to watch a fight.

Halling was on commentary and he ended up cutting his own ears off. TRUE STORY.

For me he will forever be inexorably linked with Hagler v Hearns.
