WHO WINS? Anthony Joshua vs. David Haye

I think David Haye's career as a heavyweight has been built up to be something it is not. The only heavy he has stepped in the ring with worth mentioning is Klitchko, and Haye didn't even get close to him. David Haye was a fantastic cruiserweight, but since being a heavy, he has ducked real opposition, despite having two opportunities to fight Fury.

Haye inherently struggles against tall opposition, which he gives 3 inches away to Joshua. Throw into the fact that the power that Joshua possesses would rock Haye to his boots. It's easy stalking someone in the ring when you know they're not going to throw anything back. Valuev (his highest ranking win) didn't get within a few metres of him, Chisora (also not a big puncher - more of a slugger) is shorter than Haye!

I think this is Joshua's hardest fight out there, but I also think it's Haye's hardest fight also.

Haye beats the wurm and some other guy I've barely ever heard from and now people think he's better as AJ?! People must be nutjobs, Haye barely managed to touch Klitschko at all in Haye his prime?! A 46 year old Holyfield showed a better performance against Valuev as Daffy in his prime lol!

after todays Haye/Bellew presser it sounds like Haye is planning on going after AJ after he has beat Bellew.
Haye/Bellew is due for March, Hearn has AJ vs. Klit scheduled not long after.
If all goes to plan do these 2 meet at Wembley in the summer?

After disposing with Bellew, it will be down to the humble Anthony to save Matchroom's honour and silence the nightclub-frequenting Bermondsey badboy.

Adam Smith is probably writing the script already.

Hopefully the fight gets an endorsement from Wayne Rooney and Jamie Carragher shortly - then you know its on.

Haye was extremely negative and obviously intimidated by the huge man in front of him, and an ancient Holyfield had done better against the Russian and got robbed, but I really don't see what Valuev did to deserve the win. He was completely flummoxed by Haye, who surprised everybody by actually boxing (when he was known only previously as a come forward gun slinging banger). Haye outlanded him and stole rounds. Sure, there was only one moment in the fight where there was any action (when Valuev did the Judah dance for a couple of seconds) but it was a clear win for Haye. What did people expect him to do? He was one fight removed from cruiserweight, with a suspect chin, fighting the biggest HW champion ever. Jim Watt's commentary was mental, saying Haye has lost. No way. Look at Valuev at the end of the fight: he knew he'd lost.

Did he struggle? Yeah, a bit. It's hard to fight a guy a foot taller than you and look good. He dropped rounds for sure. But he boxed to a game plan. Don't forget, there were plenty of people who thought he couldn't do it (James Degale picked Valuev for instance). It was the shittest fight ever, though.

I think at the time I scored it a draw. So little happened in most rounds that I had I think the majority of them even.

Most people watching expected the 46 year old to be the winner after seeing the fight, somehow Valuev won that one.

When I watched it live and drunk I had Valuev nicking it.

I haven't watched it back and I was ridiculously drunk at the time and my card is just about legible. Take my scores credibility with a pinch of salt.

Boxing News had Haye winning every round of the Valuev fight. Sounds ridiculous but it genuinely wasn't. Valuev walked forward and hit nothing all night.

Not a good fight but Haye won it by miles. Did exactly what he needed to do.

We don't know what happens if AJ gets hit. We DO know what happens if Haye is hit. I have a feeling he can't move for 12 any more, and AJ hits harder than Mormeck or Thompson. Hard to call, but too many unknowns to say AJ has no chance

vs. Klit and vs. Haye are mega fights, Wembley is a fitting venue for both so can't see why they wouldn't go for it and maximise revenue for both fights...

vs. Klit and vs. Haye are mega fights, Wembley is a fitting venue for both so can't see why they wouldn't go for it and maximise revenue for both fights...

The problem would be turn around time can only realistically fight there between mid May and mid September and cant see them having two big fights within 4 months. plus mid May Wembley is booked
