How many PPV buys did Bruno-Breazeale get?

Post by reggaereggae »

According to Boxing news, the Joshua mismatch got 500,000 buys. I'm sorry I find this very hard to believe.

What do you think the real number was? Sky Sports never reveal their numbers I think (unless they're super good) but given how little press space was devoted to this farce, I'd be willing to suggest 80,000 would be considered a triumph?

Even AJ streams his Sky so I doubt it's done anywhere near 500k!

I am a self confessed mug and even I didn't buy it!

Really? At such a busy sporting time and news dominating the pages? I saw very little in the press even in Murdoch's Sun.

Even today in the telegraph (who have a dedicated boxing writer) there wasn't an article on the fight. Just 100 words at the end of a Tyson Fury article....

I can't believe there are that many mugs in the UK?

I've bought every PPV for the last few years...even I drew the line on Saturday.

One less than they were going to get. I bottled buying it at the last minute.

I agree with your figures (although I have no factual basis for this opinion !)

500,000 sounds like complete bollox.

Given that Sky never release their figures, they can just make up whatever they like.

If there's 500,000 people in the UK stupid enough to buy that old shite, then we have a severe education system problem.

I got a bit drunk and bought it.

But I'm originally from Connah's Quay so I wasn't missing seeing Doran fight for a British title.
