Finally had a chance to watch the fight. Thurman won a close contest because he finished strong. But there were moments in the mid rounds when I though it was getting away from him. Porter not only looked physically strong but also better poised and refined. Good win but I expected more clinical performance from Thurman.

Based on this now I am ready to make a pick in favor of Brook if they were to face each other.

To be fair though Thurman held less than Porter when pushed up against the ropes and in the process made it a more fun fight to watch. Saying that though I'd favour Brook- mainly because he seems more sturdy, Thurman seems a little more vulnerable to body and head but thar aside, Brooks superior jab I think would play a big part.

Yes, thats it. One thing Porter expose is that Thurman isnt that sturdy. Brook will be bigger and stronger man. Then, he was not able to move around and not get sucked into infighting. So how good is his technique? I think Brook is a slickyer boxer.

I scored for Thurman 115-113.

If Thurman fights Brook I'd edge Thurman to win a equally close decision.
