If Naz was smashing up pro heavies in sparring then why didn't he move up the weights - you know, starting by moving up to super- feather for example.
I also referred to the previous comment about an incident with a pro heavy who was working on a door - now, I am sure if Naz stole one on him or at least got the first clean shot in then I am sure he could have done something, otherwise he would have been ragged all over the place.
Naz was European champion at bantam, won "international" titles at super-bantam and world at feather. Brendan Ingle would agree with your point - he thought he'd be a multi-weight world champ.
I've asked about this supposed "incident" and haven't managed to find one person who had heard of it despite it supposedly featuring on the front page of newspapers.
Naz boxed at Bantam until he was 20 or 21 as his body grew and he moved up a whopping 4 pounds - if he was banging out pro heavies then he surely would have moved up the weights ?
I don't buy all this bollox about him beating up much bigger men (both in and out of the ring).
Bantam to feather is more than 4 pounds.
Nobody claimed he was "banging out" pro heavies. You claimed he couldn't handle heavyweights, I said you were wrong. He sparred most days with Johnny Nelson and Clifton Mitchell.
I now know a bodybuilder who picked a fight with Naz in a nightclub (when Naz was 18) who laughs at how he was knocked out with one punch outside the club.
Have you not heard stories of the likes of Jeff Fenech and Kirkland Laing knocking out 18 stone bodybuilders?
Naz had a well-publicised spat with Eubank at an airport. Which one ended up with the bloodied lip?
Neville Brown became British middleweight champion when Naz was 19. He said he had to be at the top of his game just to survive in the ring with him.
