Hartley vs Rufus (Kid Thunder vs Homicide Henry)
Hartley vs Rufus (Kid Thunder vs Homicide Henry)
Well, it looks like the fight wont go down due to the cost of putting it together. Henry said he would fight for free, which is noble, but it comes down to cost of medicals (200 a man, blood tests, eye exam, and physical), transport to and from the state in which the fight is in, hotel for 2 nights (50 a night, 1 room for each for 2 nights, 200$) , misc license fees, renewal of federal id, etc.... around 650 a man, 1300 or so total.
Neither guy sells any tickets whatsoever, and neither are from North Carolina, so they cant sell tickets.
I told Rufus to make a gofundme page, he just laughed.
I told him to have him and Hartley make some videos, but no real response.
What is your take on this all, besides it being rubbish to begin with?

I find it quite hilarious that "Homo"cide is linked here with a fight against the guy who ended a fellow member of the "Forever 0-1" clubs career, Charlie ZelenoffTomasino wrote:armageto wrote:Neither guy belongs in a ring, professionally, in all honesty. Just being truthful....

Re: Hartley vs Rufus (Kid Thunder vs Homicide Henry)
Look..... Hartley can't fight anyways unless $200 is paid off to Blake Franklin, a promoter in Louisiana who got stiffed by Andrew. Franklin told the commission about it and Hartley is suspended until it is paid off. I told you and Andrew both I WILL PAY THE $200 personally to Franklin, so that Andrew can fight.
I have said time and time again, I can do the blood test. I can get my bust ticket. I can get my hotel. Way I am seeing it I am going to be easily $1,000 in the hole when this is all said and done. I am making nothing off of this. I just want to fight. But to have me front up the cost for a physical and dilated eye exam, when I have no medical insurance what so ever, is a tad bit extreme cus that's going to be quite a big chunk of change when you consider copay at the doctor's office, the cost of the exams, gas to and from the doctors office, etc.
Now.... if you, the promoter, the matchmaker, can at least HELP with the eye exam.... I can front the physical. That means I will do EVERYTHING but the eye exam. Now, that everyone has heard MY side of things, maybe people can be a little more understanding and not be judging. I want the fight more than anything in the world. I just need the eye exam $$$$ and that's all.
Besides, who the hell is going to send perfectly good money on a "GoFundMe" site to make a boxing match between two low level guys happen? I could see it if it was "Please Help Me My Kid Needs Braces" type of crap. But this? No. It seems to me that I am doing most of the lifting, putting up most of the money, and everyone else is slumming.
As for videos, me and Andrew have BOTH said the same thing: what is the point in making videos, talking a bunch of crap to each other, and looking like a bunch of fools for everyone to laugh at, when there is no garuntee that the fight will happen? We've made countless videos, threads, radio interviews over the passed five years and it's never happened yet. So why embarass ourselves even more, when the fault isnt with him or even I, but with the people making promises to make the fight and not delivering?

You actually prove this with the next segment of your post "I made a GoFundMe account page.... Soooo....if anyone is interested.... Feel free to prove me wrong.
I believe you were more accurate in your first conclusion that no one would pay to watch two low rate, light weight bums fight one another (akin to watching Rufus of bumfights fame fighting another drunken street bum over a bottle of booze, hell you even share the same name !!! I'm going to re-christen you now "Rufus the Doofus Bumfights Defibaugh" ha ha ha ya dig ???) so I will prove myself wrong by donating to your GoFundMe account page, I would actually pay to see you dance around again and fall flat on your ass in 47 seconds, it's been too long !!! Would $1000 cover it ? Check your account page within the next hour, but I'll do it on condition that everyone get's to see the footage on You Tube, been ages since I had a good laugh !!! Get back to me if the terms are agreeable.
Re: Hartley vs Rufus (Kid Thunder vs Homicide Henry)
Wouldn't it be cheaper and more feasable to just meet in a gym and go at it with someone filming? I mean, if you really want to fight badly just go to your town's roughest pub and start at it.
Re: Hartley vs Rufus (Kid Thunder vs Homicide Henry)
I suppose it's bad to encourage this but if Rufus wants to be a hard as a coffin nail gypsy warrior, then surely all this really needs is a meet up and a camcorder? After all, hasn't Henry always championed the BKB scene? Stop waffling on about eye exams and get it on, boys!dberry wrote:Wouldn't it be cheaper and more feasable to just meet in a gym and go at it with someone filming? My take? I wouldn't contribute a penny, I wouldn't watch it in my backyard and I'd beat the dogshit out of either of them.

I've been saying this for about a year or more periodically. Rufus says "I just want to fight" his only conditions are its counted as a pro fight and is only against Hartley
Just have an amateur fight, Rufus.

You can't go back to the amateurs. I have asked amateur coaches and promoters locally, and they act like they have never heard of any pro (no matter how limited) ever going back to the amateurs, or opting out to do amateurs. This isn't an excuse I am making. This is what I was told by proper sources locally, who could have put me on shows (amateur) and they were pretty straightforward in saying it wasn't possible to do.Tomasino wrote:dberry wrote:Wouldn't it be cheaper and more feasable to just meet in a gym and go at it with someone filming? Now I know there are "semi-pro" groups, that pay amateurs to compete, etc. but it seems to me that only high level amateurs who are destined for the Olympics and world level tournaments do this. It isnt open for any and all amateurs. However, I have said to you before.... if you can find someone here in the United States, that says you can return to the amateurs, and can provide me the proper paperwork or leads to do so, then I will go that route. Yet, I have never gotten such information.
As for Andrew and I.... we have tossed around the idea of forming a "Backyard League" where him and I can fight one another in a makeshift ring, and compete against others from the old TPS series who are local to Fort Smith and surrounding areas like David Dumas, Jason McClure, etc. and upload those "matches" to YouTube. And maybe that may cause some interest for someone out there, to stage either one of us on a pro show. It's a long shot, but really the goal for me has always been to prove I can beat guys like him. And maybe in a backyard with gloves, is really the only way of doing that.

Number Uno. You talk of not being able to get "back" into the amatuers once you turned "pro".
Thing is you have never had an amatuer fight in your life ! (Yes I done my homework on you, and not as you say because I am your "stalker". I have absolutely ZERO interest in you other than exposing your absurd claims and flights of fancy/fantasy ! Ask yourself this Rufus "Why would someone waste their time on me ? Is it because I am some great fighter ? Or because I am a fraud who talks complete bullshite ?" I would go for the latter ! I dedicate an equal amount of time exposing fellow bkb/boxing frauds such as Paddy Monaghan and Robert Logan Williamson (Bobby Gunn), believe me you are nothing special ! Just a puny little stick man from the hinterlands that thinks he is a Gypsy and thinks he can fight, when he is a fake wannabe Gypsy and can't fight to save his skinny arse !)
Anyway getting back to your so called "amatuer experience" It is a well known and verifiable fact that you have never had a single amatuer fight in your life ! I have read posts myself where you even admit this ! You lied about having this "amatuer experience" in order to obtain your one single "professional fight", a fight in which your lack of amatuer experience was extremely telling, and was there and still is on You Tube for anyone who wants 47 seconds worth of absolute tear inducing laughter to see ! You are a fake and a fraud Doofus, and for way too long I have put up with your pretentious and self gratifying bullshite ! You really think anyone would type "Defibaugh vs Hartley" (or one of the hundreds of potential combinations such as "Homocide Henry" "Pesticide Henry" et al) into You Tube, let alone pay, to see two unskilled redkneck bums fighting eachother ??? I think the reality behind the answer would severly disappoint you ! Maybe you would do better to start a franchise of the "Bum Fight's" series which was successfull online ! The lead character was a street bum also called Rufus incidentally......We could call you "Rufus the Doofus "Bumfight's' Defibaugh"

Just go to an amateur club. Don't mention your 'pro fight'. Train hard and in about four or five months, ask for a match. You'll get it. Don't worry about all this paperwork crap, that doesn't matter. Just do it.

Rufus has the GoFundMe account for the eye exam.
Cut him some slack if he was -lazy- in communications a time.
Oh it's basically the truth what you say, the perspective. But, it isn't bad putting the two together.
Rufus first fight he fought a true contender.
Let him have what he wants. Who's it going to harm?
