Man, i DVR everything and have HBO & Showtime predominantly for Boxing. I used to ignore these sites and texts if I was busy so I didn't get spoilers. Half the time now I end fast forwarding through a card or checking the results first.
Al had a good vision and a poor plan. Meanwhile I buy every UFC PPV because it constantly delivers. I waffled on the last one but ended up getting it because I'm a big Bisping fan(even though i thought he was going to get crushed) and the card was awesome. They all aren't, but on paper every one of them is better than anything Boxing comes close to offering.
Look at the best fights from even 20 years ago compared to now. Miura/Vargas was very dramatic, but they still were landing 10 to 15 punches a round. Wouldn't have made a top 25 list of FOTY in the 80's or 90's. It's over.
For sure,as a spectacle and spectator sport the ufc is superior...its very nature means more drama and more depth to a fight.
As dramatic as the froch-groves battles werein the uks recent superfights...take a look at the rest inv fury, joshua etc...all duds. Pbf-pac was a huge dud....there are too many aged protected fighters in the sport now and this 140-147 class has supposedly been hot all decade yet thurman is being moved so slow its ridiculous he is only just stepping up to a porter much less a garcia...a sign o the times
Ive just watched groves-murray...and am waiting for the decision
This fight makes me stand corrected.....this is everything that was good about british boxing it was a throwbacl to minter-finnegan, benn -eubank, watson-eubank

Yes a superb spirit lifting fight for the sport. Porter and Thurman are both the kind of things you expect from top tier talent. Skilled, courageous, with talent and they put on a great show, even if it was ruined by amateurish presentation in the UK by SKY hiring a novice play by play man who kept calling the multi talented and unorthodox Porter "basic" and had a landslide for Thurman. But what a fight.....and what fighters

Young conor benn, son of nigel, looks on admittedly the briefest of pro careers to be a genuine power puncher in the vein of his father....im going to enjoy seeing him fight every month
That's why I was asking.. searched through 20 pages of threads in off topic and the search feature prior to asking. I couldn't find it and can no longer be bothered searching.
