It doesn't say September 2017 in that article but that's what's being said in other sources.
Canelo - GGG will be on Cinco De Mayo next year.

Just going on what's being said mate - http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/boxing/ca ... 44045.html

They're also saying that's the earliest it will happen.

We shall see sir. From what I hear, the date will depend on if Golden Boy can drag Manny into the ring.

Speaking of Smith-Canelo, the latter has suddenly become the WBO #1 contender at 154.

BJS just tweeted "off in to London to sort my visa"

meanwhile David Lemieux is rated number 4 in the WBO rankings. It's inevitable this is going to happen in September on the undercard of Smith vs Canelo. I can't see another scenario?

Really hope this comes off!

Saunders is on the undercard, no opponent yet. Quotes from Warren in a Boxing News article, can't link while I'm on my phone.

Saunders should have fought GGG ......... However I don't mind him taking Lemuiex in the U.S. as it builds him stateside and gets an excellent win in his resume. Very risky fight too

It's not like Conelo who I absolutely despise now.
