Carlos Ruiz's career has been fun to follow. i remember a few years back on Telemundo, he was dropped twice but still fought his way to a Draw. he was down brutal too.

The kid's promoter/manager did a great job with him because he is one of the latino fighters that's under the radar that has been the most on TV.

He fought on telemundo undercards and main events

Fought regularly early in his career on the great cadenatres mx channel.

He traveled to Argentina and beat Centeno 19-1-1 on TYCsports.

Then traveled to Japan to drop Hasegawa twice on NTVG+.

It's a BIG step up for Diaz who's been featured on smaller cards in Mx. Those cards are shown online live but aren't televised most of the time.

Diaz ain't bad though, he is a solid southpaw who can time precise straights and drop fighters.

Defeated local warrior Gonzalez with who he traded KDs.

That efficient straight is still the money shot for him.

SHould be interesting to see how well he can adjust to the step up and if his straight left carries the power to that superior level. It will also be interesting to see if he remains confortable enough to throw combos while moving forward.

Not a BIG fan of these telemundo cards but imo they have a good promising matchup entertainment wise this Friday.
