Is anyone giving Postol any chance?
I just looked at the PTBF thread and everyone is picking Crawford to win. I understand why he should be favored but Postol will not be a walk in the Park, he is tall and can crack. I can see Crawford getting caught if he isn't cautious. Crawford has to fight very smart and not bring his goon mentality like he did at the Auto Body shop.
Re: Is anyone giving Postol any chance?
I've picked Postol to KO him. I think he's underated and I was impressed with the Lucas win. I genuinely think it's a 50/50 fight.

Sorry, I just noticed you were the only one. However to be fair if Crawford beats Postol especially by a wide margin or stops Postol, he deserves plenty of credit.Loki wrote:I've picked Postol to KO him. Re: Is anyone giving Postol any chance?

i strongly favour Crawford but it's not as though Postol should be like a 10/1 outsider

Re: Is anyone giving Postol any chance?
No I fancy Crawford via stoppage.
Postol is overrated IMO. His best win against Matthysse was due to Matthysse not being in 100% shape and his eye injury.
If there was a rematch I'd back Matthysse to beat him.

I need the PTBF points. I started late, but stand by prediction. I think Postol has more levels.
Re: Is anyone giving Postol any chance?
Well, Dwyer does.
Knowing his tendency towards -you know what- suprematism, that's saying something.

Re: Is anyone giving Postol any chance?
Seems like a 50/50 fight to me. The betting odds are 2:9, which seems ridiculous. Postol at 9:2 odds seems like one of the best value bets of the year.
Re: Is anyone giving Postol any chance?
He has a chance, but I strongly favor Crawford.

Re: Is anyone giving Postol any chance?
Postol's chances to get a decision from Vegas judges is close to zero. I would give him 30% chance with neutral judges.
Re: Is anyone giving Postol any chance?
Postol could certainly beat Crawford I just think Crawford is a talented fighter who is able to make adjustments on the fly, and can always seem to turn a fight back in his favor before he gets too far behind. Postol may give him fits early, but I expect Crawford to right the ship a few rounds later and take control.
Re: Is anyone giving Postol any chance?
Although I think Postol does have a decent skill set, I also believe hes levels below Crawford. I think the first few rounds will be competitive until Crawled gets settled in. I have Crawford by 8th round TKO, with the ref calling the fight due to Postol taking too much punishment.
I give Postol alot of credit for beating Mattysse, but I don't believe Mattysse was 100% for that fight. Time will tell though.

Re: Is anyone giving Postol any chance?
YES I give Postal a chance...It'll be a great fight because Postol is a very determined competitor with top skills... I make Crawford a 6/1 favorite.hulkmaniac wrote:I just looked at the PTBF thread and everyone is picking Crawford to win. I think that's significant. Postol can go inside better now than he could before the Matthysse fight.. The referee was harassing the shlt out of him so he basically had to take his chances trading inside with Matthysse, because points were being taken for holding.. He would have been DQ'd for certain if he grabbed anymore and he ended up finding another dimension to his game. He's got some pop on the inside.
Re: Is anyone giving Postol any chance?
I think Crawford deserves to be favourite but Postol has a chance, just not a huge one.
I've got this one about a 70/30. but I expect Crawford to win but he'll have to work hard and be his best to do so

Re: Is anyone giving Postol any chance?
Postol definitely has a chance, but Crawford has home advantage and he's a very good fighter. Top Rank will want the US boxer to win, so the ref and judges will likely be on his side.hulkmaniac wrote:I just looked at the PTBF thread and everyone is picking Crawford to win. Also, Postol has been inactive for many months, while Crawford fought a few months ago.
Although I picked Crawford in the PTBF, I'm rooting for Postol and hope you're right.Loki wrote:I need the PTBF points. I started late, but stand by prediction. I think Postol has more levels.
Re: Is anyone giving Postol any chance?
Lol, Postol couldn't even come close to KO'ing Hank Lundy, who Crawford stopped in 5. Not happening.Loki wrote:I've picked Postol to KO him. I think he's underated and I was impressed with the Lucas win. I genuinely think it's a 50/50 fight.

Re: Is anyone giving Postol any chance?
I just voted for Postol by late KO. As I said, there is no way he gets a decision from Vegas judges, so KO is his only chance, I would say about 15-20%.
Re: Is anyone giving Postol any chance?
I don't give him a chance no. I think he's a brave guy and he's just what we need in this sport but ultimately he'll be defeated and despatched. Crawford is a proper fighter! He's a guy that can do everything!

Whos Postal?

Boxing doesn't work like that. Styles make fights.Badhusker wrote:Lol, Postol couldn't even come close to KO'ing Hank Lundy, who Crawford stopped in 5. Postol is a good fighter. Crawford is a very, very good fighter.
There's your answer.

Re: Is anyone giving Postol any chance?
I'm fairly sure not a lot of you guys have seen Postol. I favored Postol against Matthysse when the majority were favoring Matthysse. Postol is a damn good fighter, and I think he'll beat Crawford.
Re: Is anyone giving Postol any chance?
Crawford has so much more to his game than Lucas though, and I thought Postol was just barely winning prior to the stoppage.
