Dunn looking good since starting a streak of very respectable wins since december 2014. where he stopped Ramallo.
Then stopped Colombian puncher Berrocal who had 14 wins by 14 KOs...
he then defeated Bursak and struggled a little vs tough gatekeeper Findley. Derrick always seem to be able to hurt his opponent and drop them once. He is often in close fights and on the losing end on them... it's what happened vs Dunn.
Dunn came back with a career best type of KO win vs Damasco.
he added another stoppage win since then vs local veteran Sherrington.
Jerez is the right opponent for him to look good. Jerez is a natural welter who's cashing in at the end of his career at 37. He is now fighting at 168 where he got stopped in his last credible fight vs Periban.
He is busy though fighting 4 times per year. He is durable and only good opponents like Walter Matthysse, Senchenko, A young Lujan & Periban stopped him.
It's a nice opportunity for Dunn to add another statement on his good winning streak by stopping Jerez and adding his name to the only 5 fighters to stop Jerez in a 66 pro fight career.
