WBA Featherweight Title

Post by Taansend »

Carl Frampton could be the owner of this belt on July 30th if he beats the WBA Featherweight Champion Leo Santa Cruz :yay:

This Friday Claudio Marrero could be the owner of this belt if he beats the WBA Featherweight Champion Carlos Zambrano :yay:

Of course, everyone knows that the real WBA Featherweight Champion is Jesus Marcelo Andres Cuellar :shame:

There's not much to this post. Just pointing out that we have THREE champions of one, of the FOUR, belts in ONE of the SEVENTEEN weight divisions.

If all the divisions had this same amount of champions we'd have over 200 "World" champions & yet we have people all giddy over the fact that there are more British "World" Champions then ever before.

Good thread the dilution of being a world champion is one of the saddest things in sport - I thought we had done away with this a little bit especially on these shores when the WBU /WBF ect stopped being recognized by the board but the influx of interim, regular, super and champions in recess its probably worse than ever!

Isn't Santa Cruz the WBA SUPER champion, meaning he's their number 1?
