Thurman vs Mayweather

Post by bnovelist »

This is my Dream Matchup both are very charismatic and both will sell the fight. OMG easy 2.5million PPV buys! Imagine All Access switching from

Mayweather's life then to Thurman's daily life leading up to the fight. Mayweather Sr trashing Thurman and shooting right back! This fight is way too

good to be true! I wanna see Thurman vs Mayweather Keith showed alot 2 weeks ago he can sell a fight and back up his words. This will be more

than a fight an actual event! Thurman has that look and gift for gab as well http://www.eog.com/boxing/boxing-keith- ... o-mar-7th/

Floyd would never fight The Thurmanator... That's what the Andre El Berto fight was all about... Berto lost 4 of his last 8 fights, getting knocked down 7 times.

Keith Thurman is undefeated, and untied... He's was a World Welterweight Champion... He was not a punching bag like Hatton, Canelo, and Corrales etc.. He wouldn't be weight drained.. Keith beat Guerrero by a much wider aggregate points margin than Floyd did... and he decked him for a 9-count... Those are things Floyd Mayweather and Danny Garcia couldn't accomplish when they fought Guerrero.

No way Floyd was ever going to get in there with Keith Thurman.

I think the nail in the coffin goes way beyond Thurman's fighting talent...He has a high IQ a huge boxing brain. http://www.eog.com/boxing/boxing-keith- ... o-mar-7th/ would be a megafight thought people are starting to know who Keith Thurman is.

Floyd would NEVER have fought: Kell Brook... Errol Spence... Keith Thurman... or Shawn Porter... It was a pipe dream... Andre Berto? Give me a break!!!

Neither would Manny Pacquiao... Tim Bradley... Marcos Maidana... or Amir Khan fight them... Those guys have been ducking the top welters for years.

I want to say Floyd KO 1 it but will probably be Floyd UD in a shitty $200 PPV

If anything, I would rather see Pacman vs Thurman for kicks...

Floyd's all done taking risky fights. If he does make a comeback it'll be a very carefully selected opponent. Thurman, Porter, Brook...those names won't even be in the discussion for him.

Floyd is 40, he shouldn't be going anywhere near Thurman at that age, nor will he.

Floyd really should just stay retired, the only fighter he's going to take on now are going to be has beens or never weres.

Thurman is no different than so many boxers looking for a big payday. The only fights I see as a remote possibility is Danny Gacia,
or Pacquiao if he beats Broner, and both of those fights are long shots. He would gain nothing from either if he wins, other than money he doesn't need.

I think the longer the delay, the less likely Mayweather comes back. The temptation is that 49-0 record, and I think it's the only chance that ego gets the better of Mayweather, and he underestimates the effects of inactivity at age 40.

Within the next year I'd take Mayweather by clear UD, assuming he's not been out of the gym since retirement. Porter would cause him more problems IMO.

Floyd still beats anyone at 147. I agree Porter makes for a closer and more entertaining fight than Thurman, but fighting Thurman comes with more riskbased on his size and ability to punch. Porter would make for a ugly fight much like Madaina and Hatton were able to do, but Floyd would out think and out box both Thurman or Brook or anyone else at 147.
