Where does Eubank Jr go now?

It will be a big anti climax if he just defends his British title again after chasing GGG.

Does he pursue the BJS fight?

I think he'll leave matchroom. They're going to be absolutely raging I imagine.

How many fights does he have left with this contract with matchroom? Two straightforward defences to keep the belt then back with FW to make the BJS fight??

Sure Hearn said he had a two fight providing the sort the GGG fight so not sure where they stand if they have turned down the fight? Do they have 0 shame shouting about the fight for months and then pulling out at the last minute

What a counter-punch to the Eubank`s posturing and preening !
Keeping GGG waiting until they decide, in their own time of course, whether they decide to sign the contract or not.
Bet they`re feeling pretty sheepish/foolish right about now, that`s if they actually wanted the fight of course ......

Yeah but did they bottle it or was the offer not what they wanted ie like Kell wasn't happy with the Vargas deal?

They never wanted it unless they got silly money.

Attaching Jnr's name to Golovkin is a good way to keep him in the limelight and add to his profile. His dad kind of wrangled his shot against Benn by talking as opposed to smashing up other potential challengers.

Yeah he's just tweeted this...

"I haven't been shown one contract since my fight with GGG was announced. I'm still ready & waiting to sign. Fighting Brook is a joke #2Small"

According to Dan Rafael's twitter. Copied and Pasted.

"Hold onto your hat: GGG team tells me Eubank declined fight & GGG will fiace Kell Brook at 160 Sept. 10 at O2 Arena!! Whoa. #boxing"

"Eubank = ducker."

"Eubank will never live this down & Vargas side apparently was too greedy for in Brook deal. Both can pound sand while GGG faces Brook."

"Per @TomLoeffler1, Brook took the same deal from @EddieHearn that Eubank turned down. #GGGBrook"

"Per @TomLoeffler1, making #GGGBrook took 2 days: Wed, Thurs, announced today. When fighters want to fight deals are made easily. #boxing"

I dont know how to do screen grabs. But pretty explosive stuff, quite damning on Eubank's part.

Yeah that doesn't look great. One thing I would say in Jnr's defence is how much input he had in negotiations. I wouldnt be surprised if Jnr never saw the terms offered even and SNR dealt with all that.

Next he'll probably look to claim the British outright. Perhaps against Tommy Langford later in the year (CEJ now a free agent, promotionally?) then start harping on about GGG again.

Who knows how the Eubank team operates, but if I was Junior, I would seriously be looking at how I am managed.

The fight was there to be made. It seems like such a missed opportunity for him.

Saying that if Kell does win, which I think is a tough ask, massive summer British fight between those two.

The eubanks are going to get a reputation as impossible to deal with and may shut themselves out of a lot of fights because of this.

If Kell somehow wins, Eubank Jnr won't be on the radar at all.

A certain Mr 'I have finally found an opponent worthy of trying to hit 50-0' will be on the phone.

Will go from talking about £5m v Eubank Jnr to talking about £25m against Floyd.

Jr will go back and defend his British title a couple of more times, before something else comes up, they won't do.

The Eddie Hearn Ifilm interview posted in the Brook-GGG thread puts the blame squarely at the feet of Eubank Snr. Seems Hearn got fed up and just snaffled the deal for his own fighter, and who can blame him?

I'm sure if he swallows his pride he could still fight on the stacked undercard with a deal to fight the winner.

I think he'll leave matchroom. They're going to be absolutely raging I imagine.
You can just imagine the bullshitting one going to English "yeah Chris, I am on the blower to Golovkins manager now" - but not mentioning he was negotiating for him to fight one of his other boxers!

Well they say if you don't want to fight someone ask for ridicules demands, i don't think Sr fancied the fight to be honest and was just throwing GGG name for press.
