If we're being objective Golovkin should probably get the same criticism for fighting a 147'er that Canelo got for fighting Khan. I think it will be a fun fight though.

Saw a video the other week of Golovkin seemingly deliberately letting opponents hit him.....he can’t do that against Brook , surely! But I wouldn’t put it past a fired-up Russian. This said, I think Gennady’s game is strong enough to outbox Brook.

Why can't he? Brook hasn't exactly got Tommy Hearns-like power, you know.

OMG. Eubank is such a pussy. Disgraceful. So brave by Brook but it will be his funeral. Worse than Khan v Canelo.

Why couldn't GGG let Brook hit him?

Did Kell find power all of a sudden? All he's gonna do is jab and grab until GGG knocks him out.

Brook is a 30 y/o outgrown fighter. He's trying to cash out against GGG. It's a win-win situation for him. If Brook loses to GGG, it's absolutely ok, if he wins or at least go 12 rounds then Brook's stocks go up. Smart business IMO. :TU:

Eubanks were all yapping.

Brook is a huge Welterweight, way bigger than Khan. Props to him for stepping up. I like this fight.

He is bigger but he's still probably a light middle tops versus Golovkin who fought at 165 lbs in the amateurs.

I do like the fight though.

He'll handle the weight fine. Golovkin is not a big Middleweight. I wouldn't be surprised if Kell was heavier in the ring. Most Boxing fans fail to comprehend weight because they're so fixated on divisions.

This is good if it is true. Two dark horses in somewhat of a super fight for hardcore fans.

Two weight division difference, and by far outdoes Khan moving up 8 lbs. Brook cuts hard to get to 147, so he will be comfortable at the weight. Fighting at his walking around weight, I have to give him huge props, especially against GGG. On the other hand, like Khan vs Canelo, it is a win/win situation for Brook, and much better than getting beat or KO'd by someone like Spence. (which I think would be a very good fight)

I'm excited to see the fight. GGG will be a huge favorite to win by KO, like he always is. Brook may be competitive, who knows. Maybe Khan will think Brook is worthy now to fight him since he has stepped up to fight someone good? :OhYes:

Yeah, I would figure as a welterweight brooks in ring weight wont be far off 165 at all. Without having to do welter I could see 170 easily which puts him squarely in GGG's ballpark

Ouch, poor Kell. GGG by KO early. I'm not a big fan of this fight but the size difference won't be much come fight night.

i second that. gennady does not seem
to be a weight draining monster. he
might not even drain at all, since he
has been fighting at the exact same
weight throughout his career and he
is now in his mid thirties.

Why. Canelo ran, and Eubank jr wants no part of him.
