Can anybody here explain how Armenia’s Hovhannes Bachkov was eligible for the WSB/APB box-offs?

He is not listed as a WSB or APB boxer on their official websites so no idea.At least the Qatari boxer has had APB Bouts.

Thanks Mike, it's a strange one. He's a good boxer, well able to acquit himself at the Games but if he could fight in Vargas, why not a host of other near-miss boxers from the qualifier? this is one serious question that demands an answer.

Doesn't AIBA just make things up as they go along? Do you mean there's some sort of accountability?
