Murrey and Eubank jr too high.....
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2016

Selby is unproven.

Would swap Flanagan and Murray apart from that decent enough list

Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2016
Groves and Murray serial world title fight losers, Eubanks Jr beaten by weakest champ in his division, none of them should be ahead of Crolla
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2016
To me pound for pound means if all were equal in size then who would be the best- to me Kell Brook despite his appalling standard of opposition would be best if they were all the same size. But he hasn't proved it by fighting anyone decent. Tyson Fury has the most notable scalp on his resume but his performance was poor and his technique is poor, if he was the same weight as most of they fighters he would get destroyed- so for me he can be nowhere near the top.
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2016
Billy Joe Saunders should be higher as well.
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2016
Eubank Jr's place seems about right to me.Switch hitter wrote:Murrey and Eubank jr too high.....
He had a very close fight with Saunders less than 18 months ago and since then he's been building a decent record and looking pretty good doing it.

Crolla lost to Mathews, Crolla lost to Sykes.Manchester Massive wrote:Groves and Murray serial world title fight losers, Eubanks Jr beaten by weakest champ in his division, none of them should be ahead of Crolla
Crolla's not fought at world class yet.
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2016
He might be the best, but if he fought better opposition I wouldn't be surprised if he lost and we found out that he wasn't really all that good after all.Supremo wrote:To me pound for pound means if all were equal in size then who would be the best- to me Kell Brook despite his appalling standard of opposition would be best if they were all the same size. Fury's performance was not poor at all.Supremo wrote:Tyson Fury has the most notable scalp on his resume but his performance was poor and his technique is poor, if he was the same weight as most of they fighters he would get destroyed- so for me he can be nowhere near the top.
He got one of the best wins in British boxing history.
Any British P4P rankings without Fury at the top are bogus.
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2016
He hardly swung a punch and just danced about outside of the distance of someone who couldn't get set to throw. That's not p4p boxing in my book.
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2016
He was winning the fight so kept doing what was being successful against a decade long champion who can dig and was being neutralised.Supremo wrote:He hardly swung a punch and just danced about outside of the distance of someone who couldn't get set to throw. That's not p4p boxing in my book.
I don't think anyone would say it was fight of the year but it was possibly performance of the year

Paul Smith should be making that NO.1 spot his own

This list was one of the main reasons Paul doesn't post here anymore. It really wound him up. I miss Smigga.Hinchy70 wrote:Paul Smith should be making that NO.1 spot his own
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2016
Given that he is a full division above him, i'd say you are right.los2 wrote:...........selby would batter mcdonnell..........
