Rafael Marquez vs Jhonny Gonzalez

Would've been an absolute war, probably with both men hitting the canvas, but I figure Marquez would've ultimately come out on top with a KO win around the 7th or 8th round in what very would could've been the Fight of the Year had it happened.

I'll start us off. I really wished RJJ had fought Dariusz Michalczewski and I would have picked the Pole to win by decision.

Damned stupid pick... Super slow Julio Gonzalez beat Michalczewski in Germany... and Roy Jones beat Julio Gonzalez so easily it was ridiculous. Michalczewski spent his career hiding in Germany -- from Antonio Tarver and Roy Jones... He wasn't like Gustav Scholz who was undefeated in his first 68 fights, came to the US to campaign in 1954, and couldn't get an appropriate Middleweight fight lined up.

Gustov Scholz vs Sugar Ray Robinson would have been interesting... Michael Nunn vs Sugar Ray Leonard didn't happen for obvious reasons... Leonard abandoned the Middleweight Title like Canelo did... Mike McCallum vs Marvin Hagler...

Sugar Ray Leonard vs Aaron Pryor

Leonard wins a clear decision, but it would've been fun.

Mayweather vs Tszyu would have been interesting come to think of it... because one of the punches Floyd got nailed with where straight right hands -- and Zab Judah was even easier to hit with straight right hands - so he was a sitting duck for Tszyu... I still would have my money on Floyd to win, but an upset could happen because Tszyu ripped that straight right hand so well at his peak.

Historically, the 3 Welterweight fighters who would have beaten Floyd were Vernon Forrest... Errol Spence... and Kell Brook... Forrest had a terrific right hand at his peak for the 1st Mosley fight.. Mosley was 38-0 and called VF's right "the Whooo punch" ... After his first shoulder surgery VF was never the same.. He couldn't throw.. Spence and Brook are too big, strong, and tough for Floyd and punch too hard and fast.. It's Maidana times 10.

On the British side:

Ricky Hatton vs Junior Witter
Hatton could be troubled by clever boxers, I think Witter could frustrate him. But even so, I'd be facing Hatton to stop him.

Joe Calzaghe vs Carl Froch
Depends on the tear it is made. The older Froch got, the more chance I give him to win. But Calzaghe has to be the favourite.

Eusebio Pedrosa vs Azumah Nelson
I go back and forth on this one. Forseeably it could be a draw.

Joe Frazier vs Ken Norton
We didn't see it, but I do think Joe would have slaughtered him.

I saw a lot of his fights and I'd have bet on it. He wanted RJJ badly, but neither of them would leave home.

I believe that was the moment that Naz finally realised that he wasn't invincible after all.

After so many years of victories & hype, i think that he had been believing his own greatness. Thinking himself unbeatable for a long time before Barrera stopped his win streak.

Don't think it was impossible that Hamed could've crossed swords with Morales, Marquez, pac and mayweather, PLENTY of middleweight matchups that never happened in the 90s, would've liked to have seen Benn v Jackson, Toney v Eubank and Jones v Mclellan

In fairness, he was well past his peak when he fought Barrera. At his absolute best, other boxers could barely land a punch on him.
