Okay, let's build the PERFECT Heavyweight boxer selecting punches from any Heavyweight in history.

(We will do other additions of this, but in this thread let's focus on the Heavyweights)

Louis, Frazier, Foreman and Tyson were considered for various positions, due to either great technique or devastating power, had to settle on one each
Could have had Lewis in a few categories,
Feel bad leaving Ali out for at very least the jab.
Ernie Shavers, Tommy Morrison and many others given consideration for head shots.
Langford or Marciano for body punches....

- I selected Ali's jab because it's speedier weapon go set up the more powerful shots.
It makes for better combination punching.

Thinking of starting my own thread on this but how can I compete with 100 pages of Wilt Vs the world.


But what about Underrated Punches?

I'd say Frazier's jab was underrated and Ali's left hook was underrated.

Before you think I'm smoking something, Frazier had an excellent jab on the inside that he utilized well against Ali and Quarry in particular. If you look closely some of those "hooks" are actually jabs thrown from in close.

Ali had a left uppercut/hook thrown from a 45 degree angle. Not a great KO punch but it certainly momentarily stopped a Norton or Frazier. Certainly this punch tore up Jerry Quarry in their 2nd fight.
