Yeah, this really. Brook GGG is a stupid fight with only one winner, but we're all excited, Hearn will sell the shit out of it, and Jnr being part of the stacked undercard building is great exposure and he can call out GGG, whatever, build the fight. Let's be real, Eubank just swerved a hiding. He had no chance. i don't hate any of this. GGG is going to absolutely coin it in the UK.

I can just see the casuals now, wondering whether he'd be able to beat AJ. JOSHUA TOO BIG, TOO STRONG!

I'm sure CEJ and Hearn are done. People who are posting its some kind of CES master plan are deluded. The man is a fool in terms of boxing financials.

I don't think that was the case, quiet the opposite Eubank sr's rating of his Son is way too high and his ego magnified, he rates his son as a bigger name then Joshua, so I would assume that he thinks that Jr would beat Golokin.

IN MY OPINION it had little to do with starting slow and more to do with jnr could not get in to the first 6 rounds of that fight because BJS was far to skilled an sharp for him an not to mention set a ballistic pace on Jnr, it wasn't until BJS slowed down that he was allowed to share some of the rounds , it was BJS fitness that allowed Jnr in to that fight,if BJS is fitter in a rematch between the two BJS will win all 12 rounds instead of just 8 . :box:
I fink Jnr is a fighter thats style is flattered when facing someone thats easy to hit ,anyone that can move an box will beat him easy enough imo .
Eubank Jr barely tried in the first 6 rounds and you know it. Surely even you can admit that Eubank was completely inexperience at a) fighting at the correct weight and b) fighting at the championship distance.

Come on mate you don't honestly believe that he didn't try for the first 6 rounds, I couldn't even bring meself to read the rest of your post after that. You must really like Eubank or really hate Saunders because that comment was a load of waffle

He clearly tried to save energy because he was worried about doing the distance. If you can't see that I wonder about your objectivity.

As I said, he could have exerted as much energy as he liked, it wouldn't have made a difference. He was getting his head boxed off.

If Saunders didn't have stamina issues, I honestly reckon he would have won 12-0. Eubank Jr barely landed a punch until Saunders started to tire.

What if, What if ? Eubank turned up the pace and went for broke that's why he nearly won and Saunders did not box his head off, he cleverly nicked most of the early rounds, whilst Eubank won most of the later rounds big. To be honest Eubank posed too much early on and did not work enough.

Yes, but he clearly does, whereas Jr now knows he's got Stamina to burn, he totally overpowered Blackwell, who was relying on Jr tiring down the stretch, now obviously Saunders is harder to do that to than Blackwell, but it's possible to win rounds by outworking someone, even if they make you miss a lot.

We shall see what happens if they fight again, but my guess is Jr will start much quicker, nick a couple of the early rounds with his workrate, and then power down the stretch, winning the fight by a margin.

What if what if Eubank started faster? If Eubank didn't start slowly I reckon he would've won the fight.

LOL at the irony of "What if, "What if"

They only fought once and BJS won fairly, so talk of scenarios where Eubank makes adjustments and wins is speculation as well.
Adjustment and someone lacking stamina, are two different things, my friend. Eubank jr has proven in his last few fights that he can fight at a fast pace from start to finish, proven ! Saunders has had stamina issues in a lot of his fights, especially big fights and he will fade again and again, why ? Because the fact that he still fights like an amateur fighter, has never developed stamina, he fights at a higher weight, then he should, because, he does not look after his diet or live the life of an athlete, all these things will not change, but Eubank jr has proved that if he starts early, he can still finish strong.

If I'm not mistaken, you've suggested before that Eubank would win a rematch if he started faster. That's speculation (fact would be that he lost the first fight and BJS dealt with what was presented to him), and essentially you're just giving your own what if, in the form of stating what you think would happen if Eubank fought differently.

Even someone with good stamina will likely have less in their tank if they start faster rather than slower. Maybe Eubank doing more early would allow BJS to win sone more rounds late. Maybe not.

The only "what if's" in this fight come from Jr. Billy won! If I remember rightly he won the last as well, or at least shared it.

You have not watched Eubank's last few fights or you are blinded by your support for Saunders and your argument is not sound, at all, most people felt that Eubank posed too much in the early rounds, then had to go for it, when he realized that he was behind, he don't make that mistake now i.e Chudinov, Blackwell and Spike, it is common sense, not speculation, were as Saunders has not showed since, that his stamina has improved, i.e the Lee fight.

No that is not a "what if" that is a fact if you go by the judges, on his home show, in his comfort zone, "if" the fight would have been on another Promoters show, it would have been a different result, " if ".

Yes, he fought at a serious lick throughout the Blackwell fight, and showed very little slowdown as the fight progressed.

And the Chudinov fight where he stopped him in the last, with non stop power punches, plus Spike could not go the pace with him and eventually quit on his stool.

As others have said, I believe (though cannot know for certain), Eubank Jr was worried about going the 12 rounds against Saunders, and so came out of the blocks way too slow. I think Eubank has improved since then, though he's still far from the finished article (I don't think he's ever going to be elite level) I think if they rematch, Saunders will have a hard night's work on his hands.

Plus his tactics did not work and he posed too much, in the early rounds.
