How about Qawi? The dude who beat the crap out of Saad, man, plus knowing where he came up from, that was a pretty intimidating dude. Obviously same applies to Saad himself now I mentioned him.
Yeah, Dwight was nasty. Saad was just the toughest man ever. May as well toss in evander as he has 5 wins and no losses against fighters mentioned!

Mmm good point. Duran at lightweight I just find utterly terrifying though, he still gets my vote.
Duran couldn't intimidate Estaban DeJesus...but he DID win their trilogy... Duran did one of the best technical boxing jobs EVER on DeJesus in their 3rd fight.. DeJesus had a hard camp and looked ready at the weigh-in.. DeJesus was cool, relaxed, and certainly wasn't intimidated.. Duran smiled at him almost friendly like.. RD had 63 fights and was a master craftsman for that fight if he ever was... Duran controlled the pace. He controlled DeJesus with his jab and started to punish him severely... For that fight Duran was the best lightweight ever.

Jiro has a vivid imagination... If you're a hit man and kill your mother -- and you tell people all about it -- you're going to get locked up.

i think there will never be a boxer as
feared by top notch opponents as prime
mike tyson. yes, people had tremendous
respect for early foreman, but thy feared
for their life against tyson.

mike by a number of landslides.

plus his management very skilfully played
on that flute. remember his entrance "music"
against spinks?

do you think Holy was just a little intimidated during the first Qawi fight?

ain't seen it in a while but i do seem to recall his eyes showed, if not intimidated, then, ummm, well, the whole pace of the fight etc etc and Qawi beating the shit out of his balls, and Holy has thrown 800 punches and probably missed 3/4 of them and the 200 he landed would normally put a dude out of the contest but there's Qawi all shit-eating grins and all wolfish-faced and shit, it was ummmm, he was a little 'rattled' in there for a couple of rounds, I'd say. which i guess says it all, 'Holy under extreme duress = he might just seem a little rattled for 6 minutes before he gets like his third wind and goes back to throwing 80 punches a round and he's on his toes like a 190lb fucken Meldrick Taylor and Lou Duva going nuts in the corfner and shit'

George started grilling only around his comeback... and by that time, he was trying to change his image from intimidating psycho to nice fat guy ;-)

I think Hagler would be the last one I'd want to face off with. You know you can't hurt him, ya know you can't outlast him, and ya know he's coming to destroy you every second until he does.

Please forward to 8:20 and look at Foreman's menacing stare at Ali as he climbed through the ropes. What can be more scarier than a young

Big George Foreman? Come on now stop playing with me! Please stop! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55AasOJZzDE

Big George swings on you like he chops down red wood trees as part of his regime I'm sitting up here laughing at these guys who are saying it's

another fighter out there that's more physically intimidating than 25yr Big George!  George was so mean that he would've beaten up Tyson

like Frazier and Holyfield would've gotten the Norton treatment :-P

True, I'd still be scared of older George. Whereas younger George would have just flat knocked you out, Older George could have knocked you out and then potentially eaten you as he was not getting enough fat in his diet due to his grill.

Hagler would definitely fight to the death in any situation.

It's hard to see him getting knocked out, Hearns hit him with absolute bombs, as did Mugabi neither man could shift him, or even come close.

He wasn't allowed to, Leonard didn't stay in front of him long enough, and Marvin couldn't pull the trigger.

Are you suggesting he punked out against Leonard? Laughable if you are.

Marvin expected Leonard to stand there and fight, which was always stupid, Marvin wasn't the smartest man in the world, certainly not compared to Leonard. He also probably figured Leonard would fade badly and he would be able to stop him, again, he was wrong, Leonard had enough left to avoid Hagler during the last 3 rounds.
