If Senior thins his son is the main attraction, he's absolutely crazy.
This totally for me, he should have taken the fight

You don't think that Brook is making big money?
If I was to speculate, I'd say that yes in relative terms of all his world title fights he's making "big" money i.e. more but I don't think he's on crazy money here, no. He's no David Haye and he won't be pocketing £10 from each PPV.

I don't get your point.
Hearn claimed that Eubank allegedly turned down £1.5m for Saunders and he would have got "several million more" for GGG. He says Brook is on the same deal he offered Eubank so (several million must be at least 2) is that not £3.5m minimum?
I don't get how you can say that is not big money and how that you know that each of Sky, Eddie and GGG are getting a lot more??

My guess is that because he stepped into the deal, Brook got the action Eubank would have been getting.

Who knows what he's earnt before, who also knows how true what Hearns claims is?

To be fair pal it was you that said only Sky, GGG and Eddie were getting big money. That statement excludes Brook.

Should be fairly easy to nail down.

What would Eubank have got?
What is Brook getting?
Is this before or after the 20% post Brexit deal?

Only a few people know for sure. There's a lot of speculation. Hearn is never going to paint Eubank in a good light as their promotional relationship has clearly soured.

You're dreaming if you think either figure is more than Hearn/SKY/GGG gets.

I'm not dreaming pal - I have absolutely no idea what Hearn or Sky make on a show - I've never seen figures before. Have you?
Assuming that Brook's figure is £3.5m, you think that Hearn, Sky and GGG make substantially more?
From searching online, GGG's previous highest purse seems to be $2m whereas Brook claims to already be a multi-millionaire:

I think so long as every party involved is satisfied with their lot, then that is all that really matters.

Previously Kell was rumoured to be unhappy with his pay day from Vargas... then bit Eddie's hand, arm and shoulder off to fight one of the most feared middleweights in recents years - and is jumping up 2 weight classes to do so.

I'd pretty much guess that whatever Kell is getting, he is pretty happy with !

None of us know, some can have a more educated guess than others. I think Brook will do well out of it.

I thought the whole thing about the Matchroom PPV model was that the home fighter gets 80% of the profits after all deductions? So presumably Brook is on a percentage rather than a purse? Or did I misunderstand Hearn's recent IFL interview?

I thought it was Hearn gets 20% of the profit of the show. GGG and Brook/Eubank then split the rest of the profits between themselves as they own the show. So for example 70-30 (of the figure after Hearns taken his 20%) in favour of GGG as he is the champ would be my personal guess. Possibly even 80-20. Sky take whatever they usually take from the PPV buys. Rest of that goes into the pot that Hearn and the fighters draw from.

Whilst mistakes have been made I just think Sr. thought the fight was set in stone & was just posturing to get a better deal for his son. I can't say I have any problem with a boxer trying to get paid more as its a tough sport.

The only problem is the Eubanks didn't figure on Hearn throwing Kel to the wolves for a big payday when he got tired of Sr. negotiating. They still have the BJS fight & if Jr. keeps winning the big fights will still be there. Personally I think this works out better for them, after GGG comes over here & does a destruction job on an opponent far too small to be in there with him the match with Chris Jr. will attract more domestic attention & more money.

Agree,, I also think all the ridcuous demands were a way out of a fight he never really wanted , It was always about publicity for JNR . tHE GGG FIGHT IS STILL THERE NEXT YEAR unless Brook does a job on him and exposes him to be human ,, he's still going to be the scary bogeyman next year and 12-18 months older , while jnr will be 2-3 fights more experienced

I'm sure this is fact. Matchroom take 20% of the shows profit, the fighter 80%. Seems to me to be a very honest business model, far better than a fighter been offered X amount and the promoter earning 10 x more.

This is what he said , he also said that Bellow and Froch were very much hard nose buisnessmen to deal with , but ultimetly fair , so there must be negotiations in there to be had
The public will NEVER get to know excatly what happens , and why should we , non of our buisness really , except one day and probably soon they will price Joe public out of the market

He seemed to imply any negotiating that takes place concerns how much money they will budget for the promotion, and how it will be spent, but when the show is over and done with it is revenue minus expenditure and an 80/20 split of the profit regardless.

I'm sure some sort of minimum guaranteed purse must be drawn into the contract though.

Well, as an ex boxer he's likely to think that. It's hardly an unbiased view. Promoters take risks with their money, it doesn't always pay off. Not every show is a big money spinner and promoters invest a lot into the early stages of fighters careers.

Eubank Sr knows how promoters work, manking ridiculous demands isn't going to get him anywhere, nor his son. His son is nowhere near a big enough star to be calling the shots to anyone.
"TV comps and Promoters make far too much" - no mention of managers? Snr has spunked his earnings, his only two options are to make some money as Jnrs manager or get a real job, can you see him working in Tescos?

I think he has blown it and he could well continue to do so in the future. I think my pal has just seen a lot of fighters get shafted over the years.

Hence me questioning orbtastic's claim that Eddie is earning far more than Brook from this show.

Frank's IFL interview yesterday was funny, he absolutely ripped the piss out Eubank Sr and said he'd never deal with him again.

Maybe they should send Eubank out to the Middle East as an ambassador - I reckon Israel and Palestine would quickly settle their differences amicably rather than listening to Chris trying to broker the peace.
