Wilder defending his WBC title on Sky early hours this Saturday against Arreola, strange choice seeing as Povetkin failed a test then plumping for someone who also failed a drug test, although at least Chris's wasnt for PEDs but still...
Wilder wasnt great against Szpilka in his last fight but still found a sickening KO,this is Arreola's 3rd world title shot after KO losses to Vitali and Stiverne,i doubt he'll get another shot after the form he's been in lately,he was pretty poor in the Kauffman and Kassi fights although i never scored them, most felt he lost both, still he's brave, keeps coming forward and can seriously bang
Logic says he's made for Wilder, too stationary which will allow Deontay to land his bombs, ive just got a sneaky wee feeling he might nail Wilder to cause a big upset
Probably not but i might stick a cheeky fiver on it

Unlike Arreola, Povetkin didn't fail any drugstest at all, Wilder just said that, wrongly, to the American media. Povetkin is an innocent men and that's why Wilder now faces a 35 million dollar lawsuit. The junkie Wilder is now planning to fight is just another carefully selected bum, just like all the other guys Wilder ever fought in his life.

Always interesting when DW fights, because you can never quite be sure what's going to happen ..and Chris can certainly pack a punch.
The pick is DW as he's on the up ( and I really hope the pov fight comes off, once he's clean or just doesn't get caught, like a lot of the other heavyweight out there ) but the big brawling Mexican has a solid chin, so he'll be in with a shout while he's still standing, and that could be the full 12 rounds.

If there's one certainty in this fight, it's that Arreola will look physically repellent. Wilder by early KO in another meaningless fight. What a time in boxing. Three giants with the belts, none of them interested in fighting each other, each of them protected & with dodgy looking chins, no contenders out there at all. These three Jenga towers may remain standing a long & interminable time.

Fury definitely wants to fight the others he doesn't care and I certainly wouldn't say he is protected after fighting Wlad.Tuan_Jim wrote:If there's one certainty in this fight, it's that Arreola will look physically repellent. What will happen with him I have no idea I still don't think he will fight again at all.
Arreola v Wilder is crap.

Fury's heart doesn't seem to be in it. Of course that blase attitude of his seemed to aid & relax him vs Klitschko, which in turn seemed to rattle the robot; I'd love him to pursue Wilder and AJ but I don't think he will.Naandrew wrote:Fury definitely wants to fight the others he doesn't care and I certainly wouldn't say he is protected after fighting Wlad.Tuan_Jim wrote:If there's one certainty in this fight, it's that Arreola will look physically repellent. I said for ages that Wilder wouldn't fight Povetkin, then when it was signed i still said it wouldn't happen.I wouldn't call any fighter a bum though and it would be nice to see another upset because i can't see Wilder stepping up anytime soon.

I did expect Wilder to take the fight in may actually, but once again he showed what kind of a pussy he is indeed. He's even worse as I already expected.bigjack wrote:asdfjkl wrote:Unlike Arreola, Povetkin didn't fail any drugstest at all, Wilder just said that, wrongly, to the American media. Good old Arreola. Whose reputation at world level stems entirely from doing not quite as well as Chisora against Vitali years ago

Re: Deontay Wilder vs Chris Arreola
Ah well so much for my sneaky feeling about Arreola landing a bingo haymaker and KO'n Wilder, easy nights work for Deontay and thats with a broken hand,Arreola is getting worse each passing fight,he brought nothing to that fight, hopefully we dont see him near another world title fight again,Wilder looked great until the 4th after he decked Chris,he laboured a bit after understandably but still a KOs a KO
