Haye v Briggs ?

Post by Floydendizer »

Gone very quiet on this happening , Briggs seems to have vanished back to the states . Dates been filled up to christmas by the big boys & no news on this bout , makes me wonder is Haye going down a different route .

He's fighting Joe Bugner in October at the O2. It's doubling as a double 'comeback'. Haye and an NDubz concert. I'm there :yay:

I was thinking the same thing two days ago.

It has gone very quiet, since David announced the 'superfight' after he flattened his latest walking dead opponent.

It would not surprise me if he was fighting Bugner next.

David could then say that he knocked out a guy who went the distance with Muhammad Ali twice!

Also David probably forgot to factor in that he's had his one fight for this year.

Yeah, it's surprising that Haye vs Briggs hasn't been officially signed and announced yet. I think that both men genuinely do want to fight each other, so the obstacle is probably money.

Shane Mcguigan is in New York with Frampton till after the 30th so there ain't going to be a press conference to announce this fight till at least then you would think. That's if the fight is still happening of course.

You could argue he hasn't really had a fight yet this year!

Possible for the Brook/GGG undercard? Both being showcased on Sky Box Office, with a view to Haye v AJ next year?

Aaah, I was hoping for Dave.

I prefer as much Freeview boxing as possible.

I agree, but think Eddie could see the commercial value.

Oh yeah, I'm considering freeview preferable but unlikely.

When?

Do you mean those two sparring sessions he held at the O2 Arena earlier this year? :D

I reckon the Brook v GGG card which is already PPV. Even Hearn isn't going to do a PPV a month later with no massive fight.
