Eubank Jr. vs Curtis Stevens

Post by TheLeprechaun »

Rumours that this one is in the works.

I'd take Eubank to stop Stevens but en route to that stoppage I'd like to see Stevens land clean shots. We could learn a bit about Eubanks chin in this one

Rumours being that Stevens tweeted Eubank Jr?

Don't see it happening myself.

I'd like to see him fight Danny Jacobs but I'd still be happy with this fight for Eubank. Jr should have too much for Stevens but with Eubank not exactly being difficult to hit and Stevens' power it'd be entertaining while it lasted.

Is anywhere reliable reporting this as a possible fight or is it just twitter talk?

Eubank Jr is only two defences away from being able to keep the lonsdale - he may as well rack up a couple of defences before focusing on the world scene.

I see Stevens as being a bit too small and he'll struggle to reach Eubank with his bombs. He's a tough SOB though so could very well take Eubank the distance.

Eubanks is fighting no one at that level anytime soon. I knew he wouldn't fight GGG either. Stevens could beat him if he's right mentally.

I'll have to watch a bit more of him if it gets signed but my first instinct is that Stevens takes this

I heard Stevens is fighting Lemieux? That's an excellent match-up imo.

Wouldn't mind it seeing it down the line as I would like to see Eubank Jnr get the Lonsdale belt outright before taking on the world and if the long term aim is Triple G then Curtis Stevens is a good barometer fight in my eyes along with David Lemieux too.

No,he was never fighting GGG. His Dad was just fornicating Eddie Hearn about. They might take the fight ibn another 2 years if Golovkin shows signs of deterioration, which he will eventually. Stevens would be a brave move and a great fight but Ill believe it when I see it. His last fight was agaist Tom Doran. No disrespect to Tom by the way,but he aint Stevens.
