Sergiy Derevyanchenko vs Sam Soliman

Post by handsofstone »

On BT Sports this THURSDAY(early hours friday) in an eliminator for Golovkin's IBF strap and Solimans former belt

Ive seen Derevyanchenko once that i remember when he beat Elvin Ayala last year winning a shutout over 8,he looked strong but bit of a headhunter,i thought Soliman retired after losing his title to Taylor, his legs looked shot that night but after that he lost to Wade, still that was over a year ago

Sam's tough and durable and showed against Sturm twice he can still win against good opposition,Derevyenchenko might walk him down though and possibly even stop him

Solomon is an awkward nights work for most. If he has anything left in the tank it could be a tricky night for Derevyanchenko who's only had 8 outings as a pro.

This ones went under the radar along with the Wake v Guzman world title fight. Also noticed Joseph Parker is fighting during the week as well.

Yeah Soliman is tricky as hell, not always fun to watch,i was surprised when he beat Sturm both times,i knew he failed a test after the 1st fight but i expected Felix to gain revenge in the rematch,

I remember Sam from the Contender series years ago, always came across as a gent,i was dissapointed when he pissed dirty

Derevyanchenko wins by KO2. Solimans legs are away. He could barely move in there. That'll be the last we see of Sam in a ring I reckon.

Soliman looks finished, his bodies gave up on him,he's a trier though i'll give him that,Derevyanchenko was just too strong though he's like a bull and the punches he put Sam down with were quality,i loved the left hook/right hand that scored the 1st KD,class

That was an eliminator for Golovkin's title,Sergiy will probably have to fight another eliminator and i cant see them being in any rush to get in the ring with GGG but it is an interesting fight down the line
