Calling a guy who fights for a living a 'pussy' isn't right. He went to the lions den in a hostile environment and KO'd Mormeck and also fought Klitschko who was the main man at heavyweight. Hardly the actions of a 'pussy'. You may not like the guy, I'm not the biggest fan of him myself but to call him a 'pussy' is laughable.
I'll fight Klitschko if you like, I'll even do it for half the price Haye did it for.
Any idiot can type that on a forum, means nothing.

Is there an indication if it would be a home or away bout for haye ?
Home I think, not seen it properly rumoured, just suggested in a few places. Makes sense though with Chagaev getting the belt back and Haye having a different opponent, Bellew's fighting October 15th in Liverpool, if it was Haye it would probably be London and almost certainly on PPV which isn't likely in October with Golovkin-Brook in September and Joshua in November. Get the feeling that the big announcement Warren said he had planned around the Fury fight that he's been working on for about a year is Haye and PPV, not for the Chagaev fight though, more likely that he wants to match him with Fury if they're going to do a PPV.

This. :TU: The both make good money. Haye stays busy while he waits for Joshua and Bellew is still a world champion when he gets knocked out.

The best thing about Haye not fighting Briggs is how much it's going to annoy you.

I'm not sure there's a market for it.

but defeating a chubby cruiserweight will not set him up for the massive paydays he is craving.

There are plenty of overrated heavyweights with inflated records out there if he wants to just climb the rankings and make an easy few quid.
dont think many boxers care about their legacy these days, they just looking for big money fights to secure their future and who can blame them if they can get away with it
I appreciate that it may generate plenty of dough in the short term, but there are bigger money fights down the line for him, I.e Wilder and Joshua.
I doubt beating up a good but not great cruiser would help him towards either of those potentially massive paydays

If your hate to me is bigger as the love for a good boxing match, you shouldn't be here. But indeed, that cowardish cherrypicker annoys me a lot.

A lot of us would get bashed for the right coinage, but only because nothing's expected of us. It's almost impossible to reach that position where people pay big money to watch you fight without amassing pride, and that's what's on the line. Money's nice to a champion, but reputation's everything.

Chagaev stripped of the belt as he's gone AWOL, Oquendo fights for the vacant title, presumably against the next in line, who just happens to be David Haye.

This is more realistic , would the paying public even put up with Haye v Bellew ?

Nice easy title for Haye. It may be a joke of a belt but most of his fans don't know that, they will lap it up.

Come on Tony.

I'll watch it in the pub, I suppose.
I'd be rooting for Haye, not that he'd need my support, because it's a total mismatch in prospect.

Bellow was bad enough before he won a 'world' title trinket, be he must now be bordering on insufferable as he can walk around Liverpool as if he owns it, calling himself a 'world champion'! :witzend:
They both talk some pish but at least Bellend seems to be genuinely passionate whereas Haye is about as cynical a bullshitter as you'll ever find. Bellew was the only good thing in that shite Rocky movie and his last win was fantastic, so he has some goodwill from me. I can't even watch an interview with Haye these days: he's a slimy reality TV creep, a boxing Peter Stringfellow, a tasteless guy with money. He's incredibly dislikeable. I would love to see him smashed.

I was a huge fan too. I've got a photo with him somewhere. I just can't stand him now.

Not looking good for the fight being on Dave, is it?

Maybe that's why the fight against Briggs fell through. That had Dave TV written all over it. Maybe they have decided they weren't interested in showing it any more.

It's weird that they gave the title to Chaegev at all, hadn't he already announced his retirement?

Would the paying public put up with Haye v Bellew? Some people live in another world!

Haye v Bellew would sell massively with the general public in the UK, they would lap up two of the most well known boxers in the country fighting each other. That's before they go on the the publicity tour of slinging insults at each other. Haye will play the good guy, Bellew will continue his character from Creed. Of course they are going to put up with it.

Bellow's character from Creed was him.

He wasn't acting in Creed, he was just behaving exactly how he normally behaves.

I know! He's had decent numbers in attendance at his last two 'fights' as well. The undercards were diabolical!
