CRAWFORD-PACQUIAO: WHO WINS?
If Crawford faces Pacman as expected, who wins?

As expected? By whom? I expect Vargas by a lot. If I'm wrong, Crawford by ko.
Re: CRAWFORD-PACQUIAO: WHO WINS?
I'd pick Crawford on points, but I'm Saad. Pac vs Jessie Vargas will almost certainly be Pac's fight come November.

Crawford-Pac is the fight Arum wants, but that doesnt mean he can talk Pac into it.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:As expected? By whom? I expect Vargas by a lot. If I'm wrong, Crawford by ko.

Crawford will have Pacquiaos number. Struggled to decide between a points or KO victory but I chose a KO. I can see Pacquiao trying to press the fight and Crawford setting traps and eventually Crawford gets the KO.

Risk versus return - I can’t see any reason why Pacquiao would want to face Crawford.
It’s far too early to proclaim Crawford as the favourite to beat Pacquiao, because there is a distinct lack of quality on his resume.

Bud would try to stink the joint out. Didn't work for Bradley, won't work for Crawford.

Pac-Bradley did not do well financially. Pac-Vargas may be a tough sell. I could see Arum wanting to cash out Pacquiao.

Re: CRAWFORD-PACQUIAO: WHO WINS?
Crawford would outrun the old Pac.
Re: CRAWFORD-PACQUIAO: WHO WINS?
I think so too, but if Pac commits to two fights, they will wait to fight Crawford in the second one after Pac takes Vargas's belt. As for the poll, I chose draw, only because I doubt they want Pac to go out on a loss. A "controversial" draw would allow Crawford to remain unbeaten also. Style-wise, etc, I can see Crawford beating Pac definitely. It won't be an easy fight though imo.marvelous marv wrote:Pac-Bradley did not do well financially. Pac-Vargas may be a tough sell. Pac mullers Vargas for a lopsided US, beats Crawford by closer UD
Re: CRAWFORD-PACQUIAO: WHO WINS?
I doubt Arum wants it just yet.Best Coast wrote:Crawford-Pac is the fight Arum wants, but that doesnt mean he can talk Pac into it.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:As expected? By whom? I expect Vargas by a lot. If I'm wrong, Crawford by ko.

Outrun? You mean Outbox him. There's nowhere to run in a Boxing ring. You can move if you want, but you ain't gonna win if you don't hit the guy.boxing_rocks wrote:Crawford would outrun the old Pac.

It's hard to envision Crawford koing Manny. But I can see him outpointing him.
Re: CRAWFORD-PACQUIAO: WHO WINS?
The goofy thing is Pacquiao would actually be the defending Ring Magazine Welterweight Champion if he hadn't fake retired for a couple of months.allInmoderationAIM wrote:Pacquiao is the MAN!

Re: CRAWFORD-PACQUIAO: WHO WINS?
I think that a Pac vs. TC fight will look a lot like Floyd vs. Manny. There's no reason for Crawford to fight any other way than he did the other night. With that style, very Floyd-like, he's going to be extremely difficult to beat. Manny will have a very difficult time dealing with all that length and athletic movement. I'd tell Bob to go screw if i'm Manny.
Re: CRAWFORD-PACQUIAO: WHO WINS?
Roach, who claims he has nothing to do with who Manny fights (when convenient to do so) says he won't accept Crawford for Manny in the next fight.

It makes me laugh at people that criticized Floyd for not seeking out the best competition for his last fight, now saying Manny should not fight Crawford because he is too tough?
At least Floyd was not seeking out a guy a weight below him.
Whatever - line up a fight with Berto!

This is boxing so unfortunately, I doubt this fight happens.
If it did, I'd give the slight edge to Crawford. TC by very close decision.

Yes, running is a legal tactics executed perfectly by Crawford and Lara. It is just boring to watch.gilgamesh wrote:Outrun? You mean Outbox him. There's nowhere to run in a Boxing ring. Re: CRAWFORD-PACQUIAO: WHO WINS?
LOL, he's walked down the majority of his recent opponents and beat their ass. I guess Pac ran against Rios? LOL, just say you don't like him and deal with the fact that he's a beast. He'll certainly make Manny come to him, how that fight would play out depends on how Pac deals with being thoroughly outboxed. If he sits back completely docile like against Floyd, he'll get tooled over 12. If he presses he'll get knocked out.

Of course, they are running less against opponents who can't hurt them. Before Postol, Crawford was fighting either little guys or limited fighters.
