Also see all over twitter last night that Sky are getting rid of Halling too. Would be great with these two gone from the commentary from now on.

That would be good. Would also be worth considering putting Adam Smith as the main commentator with Froch, Jamie Moore or Malignaggi next to him. He's actually a decent enough commentator and with him in the commentary box it would mean we were spared the horror of looking at his face

I think Ed Robinson and Froch would make a good pairing as well.

I dislike Froch as a commentator or pundit as he can't help talking about himself all the time. Adam Smith is just another Sky Cheerleader and comes acrossed biased. I like Malinaggi , Moore and Ed Robninson But also think Alex Arthur and Macklin should both be on as well. Basically just anyone who isn't biased and has the knowledge to go with it.

I like Froch, he's a pretty straight talker, and I laugh every time he mentions Wembley, I think it's hilarious.

Ronald strikes me as a good guy who genuinely likes and follows the sport.... hopefully if he gets the Sky commentary gig and it is a full-time post he can settle down and concentrate on becoming a really top commentator.

Right now he's sadly a bit of a sports generalist who seems to pop-up all over the place...bit of athletics here, some tennis there and he's popped-up at the Winter Olympics also.

Some of the boxing stuff he's done has been variable as well....Channel 5 and BBC radio don't ever seem to know whether to use him as a pure commentator who calls the fight or as the guy who fronts-introduces the show. They've used as a roving reporter as well.

I'd like to see him given the opportunity to just call the fights and give boxing his full atention.

A particular highlight of mine was in the first Froch v Groves fight, when after a few rounds of Carl taking a shellacking, Jim said "Groves can't miss with that right hand, he shouldn't throw anything else".
