DiBella says it's in the works. Also read this week that Flanagan was fighting on Canelo Smith undercard against Verdejo though
Re: Zlaticanin sv Flanagan WBC/WBO UNIFICATION
Manchester Arena is available a fair bit in the next few months at a weekend. I hope this fills one of them.
Steve Wood said he and DiBella had had good talks, so hopefully it's coming.

Would be a good fight this, hope it comes off

Its a shame that this would only shift 4,000 tickets maximum, and that's being generousStuffs wrote:Manchester Arena is available a fair bit in the next few months at a weekend. I hope this fills one of them.

You reckon? I think it would do alright. If I'm free and have spare sheckles I'd consider going myself actually. Depends on the undercard as well though.DannyMCR wrote:Its a shame that this would only shift 4,000 tickets maximum, and that's being generousStuffs wrote:Manchester Arena is available a fair bit in the next few months at a weekend. Flanagan is a bit hamstrung by venues in Manchester. Arena too big, everywhere else too small. That said, they've not opened the second tier for Crolla v Linares yet either.Stuarty30 wrote:You reckon? I think it would do alright. That's surprising about Crolla. I think that has the potential to be a fight of the year candidate.Stuffs wrote:Flanagan is a bit hamstrung by venues in Manchester. You couldn't buy 2nd Tier on the day they went on sale. That's when I got mine (not that I wanted 2nd tier). You can't get them now. So either they've come and gone, sold out, or have never been on sale.Stuarty30 wrote:That's surprising about Crolla. Re: Zlaticanin sv Flanagan WBC/WBO UNIFICATION
Crolla Vs Barosso only did about 7-8,000, Flanagan isn't that well supported in Manchester compared to Crolla, only really known in his hometownStuarty30 wrote:You reckon? They did 4k for the Magdaleno fight and that was with extortionate ticket prices when Flanagan had only just won the title out of nowhere, they wouldn't fill the arena but they'd do a good crowd for a fight with Zlaticanin.DannyMCR wrote:Crolla Vs Barosso only did about 7-8,000, Flanagan isn't that well supported in Manchester compared to Crolla, only really known in his hometownStuarty30 wrote:You reckon? This idea that Crolla is some big superstar in Manchester compared to Flanagan isn't really true, they did 7k for the second Perez fight then 6k for Barroso, should clear 10k for Linares. He's the bigger draw of the two no doubt but the difference is nowhere near as big as it gets made out to be either.

He's no superstar but he's very well known compared to Terry who's only known by people around the Newton Heath area and hardcore boxing fansexpe wrote:They did 4k for the Magdaleno fight and that was with extortionate ticket prices when Flanagan had only just won the title out of nowhere, they wouldn't fill the arena but they'd do a good crowd for a fight with Zlaticanin.DannyMCR wrote:Crolla Vs Barosso only did about 7-8,000, Flanagan isn't that well supported in Manchester compared to Crolla, only really known in his hometownStuarty30 wrote:

It's a massive arena, 7-10,000 is decent. Calzaghe-Lacy wasn't much more, whatever Fwank says. I've personally only seen it sold out five times, Hatton-Kostya, Hatton-Schenchenko, Frampton-Quigg, WWE RAW and Beyonce...

Good fight.... I hope it comes off.

Zlaticanin beats the sh*t out of Flanagan. This'll be a mismatch.
