I was shocked Williams landed so much on Stevenson. Nice KO but Williams is garbage.

Williams is not garbage.

Yet another example of why you can't lose in boxing.

Williams isn't trash but he's pretty limited. He's very easy to hit, can't hold a shot well, has little nuance to his game, and is pretty much a slugger with good but not great, and possibly overrated, power; guys like Campillo and Mack have been stopped several times but he never had them in serious trouble, and two of his most notable KO victims in Savigne and White are glass chinned. The Edwin win was solid, but look at what happened to ER one fight before against some guy named Mike Seals.

I'd take a guy like Chilemba to clearly outbox him.

Now please a good opponent for Adonis. Al has Alvarez and Beterbiev, so why not one of them? I'll be disappointed if they go with Smith, because I think his win over Fonfara was kind of fluky; he was already on shaky legs after about a minute, and I don't think he's a guy who belongs near the top long term.

Stevenson is a "PREMIER BOXING CHAMPION"

That means he's on the Al Haymon retirement plan, where he gets to box an exhibition every once in a while in front of a home crowd vs some C level american also signed up, albeit in a lesser package, to the Al Haymon retirement plan (c).

Stevenson deserves his Al Haymon closed circuit retirement plan though, he was a hard working pimp who managed a knockout of Chad Dawson. #Legacy

I've all but given up hope of a Kovalev fight but I'm still optimistic Beterbiev will get his hands on Adonis at some point.

Yes, hopefully the stagnation ends. Adonis is a good fighter, but he's almost 40 and Williams is very arguably his best opponent in over 2 years

Beterbiev and Alvarez are with Haymon, so why not?

Williams was looking for a way out of this fight the whole fight. He's a piece of garbage and so is Adonis.

I understand some of you will never forgive but the fact is he served is time in and since then he is very present for the young haitian community in Montreal. He gives a lot of money and time dedicated to the young generation to make sure they have all the tools to get a good life and not force to take his own path in the street gang. But hey like you said Pimp a day pimp forever...

Only he didn't just 'pimp for a day', he regularly beat teenage girls, raped and sodomised them at knife point.

He's a complete piece of garbage who's best wins consist of a decision over Bika and a drained Bellew. He went running to Haymon like the coward he is because he doesn't have the confidence to step up in class. Going from teenage girls to whatever garbage Haymon serves him up is a big enough step up for Stevenson the pimp. F him.

Great knock out but surely the first rule of fighting Adonis is to keep your right hand on your chin up close.

As my old trainer said 'never hook with a hooker' (no pimp/prostitue pun intended)

His next opponent isn't going to be Joe Smith, Beterbiev or Pascal... it will be an american. A pretty good one.

Good.

Adonis should be facing more guys around that level. He's very capable and isn't the type who needs to feast on weak opponents to keep his belt.
