Im also hearing that Stevenson is knocking out heavyweights in sparrring but im not sure that he can defeat Ward are Kovalev easily. He might though because if Stevenson, land one powerful hook on you,he will stop you in a minute. But there's no doubt that Stevenson, can hurt Kolalev are Ward because everyone knows he can.

Your thread title is longer than your post

Adonis is too damn easy to hit. Ward would absolutely school him. And Kovalev would outbox him as he uses both hands equally well. Kovalev and Ward are too good to lose to one armed guys who have crap defense.

As the old adage says, he has a punchers chance I suppose.
Kovalez & Ward are both better skilled than Stevenson & Kovalev punches almost as hard, if not as hard as Stevenson does.
Ward would just shut him down & outbox him.

Adonis is one of the best punchers in the sport pound for pound, and it's hardly farfetched that he'd take out Kovalev or Ward if he landed cleanly.
I think Ward is skilled enough to avoid these bombs and outpoint him, while I think Kovalev has a more complete repertoire than Adonis (as mentioned, he has KO power in both hands, and even hurts guys with jabs) and is likely to get to Stevenson before Stevenson gets to him. That said, Kov has defensive openings and Stevenson would still be very dangerous with the left, which he throws well as a lead or counter, and it wouldn't be a major surprise to me if he happened to catch Sergey and take him out. Incidentally, I thought both guys looked sloppy in their last fights, although Kov was facing a trickier opponent who is known to make good opponents look ordinary.

Stevenson is a power puncher who fights off his back foot.
That is such a dangerous combination for any opponent.
He might be the most powerful puncher in boxing because the other guys in the argument are so much more accurate that their power is increased with skillful precision. Stevenson shakes guys up with partial lands.
Ward could fight extra cautious and win 120-108.
Kovalev has to enter the danger zone, but Adonis looks so short he might be able to stand outside all night and move back like he did against Hopkins.
... but, how could anyone who watched Kovalev VS Pascal 1 not think Stevenson has a good shot to win?
Doesn't seem too logical based on the evidence.

Stevenson has the boxing IQ to make him able to catch Kovalev ou Ward, and if he does, he will win.
However, Kovalev and Ward have more athletic abilities than Stevenson and this is where Stevenson is disadvantaged.

Adonis has already lost any fight vs Kovalev mentally, so I think it'd be a short night for him - within 6 rounds
Has a punchers chance against ward- but would needed to have fought him already, after the layoffs, by the time they could meet ward will have enough fights back he'll be back to his old self
The other day PBC had a live chat with Stevenson - and it was about 90% ( maybe more) asking why he was ducking Kovalev , didn't go that well, and you could tell he didn't want to answer any questions

I agree as well,Stevenson still can stop Ward are Kovalev an hurt them,if he finds a way to make them fight on the inside with him and make them trade punches with him.If Stevenson lands something big on one them,he still would be able to pull off a win with a stoppage are even a knockout win.Ward & Kovalev are better skilled than Stevenson but there's still a very strong chance that Stevenson may be able to defeat them, you can't underestimate Stevenson because his power is very effective & i never seen him lose a dog fight, not ever.

No, they aren't. If this were true, than Earnie Shavers would be a 50:50 chance against a prime Ali, Holmes or Lennox Lewis. Stevenson would have a puncher's chance against both men, but no more than a 25% chance of winning IMO. Heck, I'd actually pick a 48yo Hopkins to outpoint Stevenson.psychod1986 wrote:I Agee, they are better skilled than Stevenson, but they are still 50 50 chance fightsSyntax Error wrote:As the old adage says, he has a punchers chance I suppose.

I think Stevenson has more than a 25 percent chance of beating Kovalev. Ward schools him though, easy work.

I will be surely watching if and when he meets either I hope its sooner rather then later because Adonis will be in his 40's soon if he's going to beat either I suspect it will be Kovalev because he'll have more chance catching him either way I hope Adonis fights the winner I love these type of fight's when you don't know for sure who's going to win
lately there has be to many predictable big fight's.

If Stevenson lands on either Ward or KOv, he stops them. That's a big IF though.
