I'm a huge fan of Resondo Alvarez, I think he is a Hall of Fame certainty and he should go down as one of the best lower weights fighters of all time.
But, I have seen him hyping up this match with Arce and I do fear for his health. In his prime I think he was better than Arce - but he looks ancient when being interviewed alongside Arce. He hasn't had a meaningful fight for a long time and looked frankly way overweight late last year (although apparently was decent in his scales for his last fight which did take place in 2006).
Seeing them together reminds me of seeing DLH next to Campas or in fictional terms the big match up in "Any which way but loose" when Clint takes on that old undefeated champ.
I agree with the sentiments here, Alvarez could get hurt, hopefully Arce will get him out early so we don't have to see a beating. I want to see Arce in with Wonjongkam next, what a war that will be!

Agreed on Wonjongkam, Arce has had this interim title a while now.
I just hope Alvarez does well and holds his own for a bit. I just hope he doesn't get beaten so badly that boxing fans will think Arce was always better than him - because personally I think prime for prime they are not really in the same league.
