They are only doing it to the fighters they want to see lose. It's sad, but it's how we think now. Only the final result matters.Enlightened-One wrote:I thought that Al Haymon refuses to work with Roc Nation, coupled with the fact that it’s reasonable to lay claim that Danny Garcia isn’t a fully-fledged 147lb-er yet?rivado wrote:Who wins Miguel Cotto vs. Danny Garcia?
A passing of the torch of sorts and a set up for bigger fights for Garcia with a win...Garcia by a close decision.
Why are casual fight fans actively encouraging middleweights to compete against smaller guys, yet giving them a free pass for refusing to face bigger men?
If Floyd lost to GGG or Ward got KO'ed by Anthony Joshua, most people here would say some shit like "they were never that good".
It's really sad to see people become so blinded by a result that all other logic is abandoned. Of course, if Ward destroyed GGG (8 pounds), he would be picking on a smaller man. If Floyd came back and beat Crawford (7 pounds), people would be bitching that he fought a smaller fighter and should have let Crawford fight at 147 first.
Look at the world man, Donal Trump is running for the presidency of the country with the most weapons and most willing to use them.
Why should boxing make any sense?
