Lance looked good & doing well until rest period after 5th round, whereupon sitting on the stool he started throwing punches into thin air, which is a clear indication brain function is amiss.
When bell sounded for 6th, he jumped off the stool...took 3 steps & collapsed.
I simply fail understand, why no-one & I mean no-one (including ref, doctor & corner) sensed possible disaster.

Not only was I at that fight but also was training at the Ringwood boxing gym alongside Gang and my doctor and friend was the fight doctor that night. Pretty fornicating gutless of you to have a crack at everyone involved after so long, on a public forum, from the safety of your keyboard, isn't it, Anton?
Hindsight has 20/20 vision, I can tell you this affected the doctor so much that he has since studied more on the subject of head trauma, campaigned for safe exit strategies from the ring to clear of the venue, campaigned the AMA in reguards to boxers' safety and had several articles in the subject published in well respected medical journals, I was ringside and he was also the ring doctor at a show at the Collingwood Town Hall where another fighter died from head trauma.

Have some fornicating respect for all the people involved, most importantly the families and get your facts in order before you go making such an offensive thread on such s ghoulish subject.

If I was to blame anyone, it would be Lance. I'm well aware of the incident in Woolongong months prior to the fight. Had NSW Authority been aware of it, it would've never issued a clearance without him submitting CAT scan.
The fact Lance was Australian feather champ at the time, was the reason the incident was kept under wraps.

Well, you should have seen the disgusting message I've recieved from the power tripping pensioner maggot, Anton. I've sent it on to Ben and will be taking it further, this gay, disgusting old shut in had the nerve to send me a disgusting message due to, or ignoring the fact that I find this thread defamatory of a friend, offensive as I have been close to this and another similar incident, not to mention it striking home for a couple of other reasons and I find this thread disgusting due this low life attention whoring by using a boxing tragedy, not one care given.

Was Gang just being used as an opponent?

According to Boxrec he lost all of his other pro fights, which tends to indicate that
(especially considering his amateur & Olympian background).

It was sad to read that Hobson's rival Jamie Nicholson passed away in an automobile
accident as well.
